The enchanced version is just the following I believe: 4K textures, cabin, dynamic cabin screens

Vote to fix transparent  sun visors having no effect on the sun glare effect in MSFS at: https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/sun-shades-sun-visors-not-influencing-light-in-cockpit/691565/

basically don't download it if you want to save on performance.

After downloading the Enhanced version, are you supposed to keep both files in the OneStore folder, or should you delete the original.

I have both there and now the aircraft doesn't appear in the sim.

Reference last post, I cannot get the A310 back in the sim. I have somehow messed up all the files and although I have tried to get them back in their respective folders, there is obviously something missing.

I cannot even delete the Enhanced version as it says I need the original A310 version in the sim.

Can I somehow reload the last update 1.29.28?

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks, Kurt

Definitely don’t delete the original. The enhanced version adds to the original, does not replace it entirely.

I didn't delete it, just moved it to my desktop, but after realised I did need it and when I put it back, most of the files were empty.

So within the folder on my desktop, I dragged the contents of the different files back into their place. Thought I had them all but still doesn't show in the sim.

In the main file (microsoft-aircraft-a310-330), there is this file..spigkxou.fsarchive (18466kb). Wondering whether this is important as there is not one like this present in the DC3 file.

Hope this makes sense. If I can't restore the a310 file, what is the alternative please?

This does show the pitfalls of trying to second guess an automatic installer.
Moving files to where their software cannot see them has precicely the same result as deleting them.

The solution is to delete the two folders,
microsoft-aircraft-a310-300 and
microsoft-aircraft-a310-300-enhanced

Then restart MSFS and, as they are default files, it will automatically download and replace them
Like this:

Thereafter, leave them alone.
Please do not touch the "Official" folder again, any and all "Mods" are done by adding to the "Community" folder.

I would love to turn the pax cabin off totally, saving precious cycles for other much more important aspects of flight simulation...

Does anyone know if it's possible and if so, how to do it?

I am quite sure that if you remove the enhanced version, you get the same cockpit but without cabin (just a low res front galley) and lower quality outside textures (still OK, but not 4K).
