How do you reach the back of your neck to achieve a proper trimline?

I got one of these hand held mirrors:

What I do is face the mirror in the bathroom, hold the above cited mirror in one hand behind my head & turn my head about 45° .  I can see my neck in the hand held mirror that way.  With the other hand, I touch my neck where I want to trim, leaving that hand there.  I put the mirror that's in my other hand down, replace it with the clipper and go back to where my other hand is marking where I want to cut.  I can't actually see what I'm doing, but I remove the hand from my neck and place the clipper there to cut.  It's crucial to do it s-l-o-w-l-y and just a little bit at a time!  Check what you did, adjust accordingly and continue. It takes patience, but it works for me.

The trouble I do have is cutting the left side of my head.  I'm right handed, so when I get to the left side of my head, I have to put the clipper in my left hand.  Adding to the awkwardness is the fact that you have to visually guide the clipper using the mirror image as visual reference, which is backwards.  If you start to tilt the clipper one way, the image you see shows you're going in the opposite direction you want it to go.  It's very disorienting in addition to it being my less dexterous hand.  I use a similar technique as the back of my neck: I see in the mirror where I want to cut, place my non-clipper hand there, and bring the clipper just above where my hand is.  Now I switch my senses by closing my eyes so that my sense of touch is in control, removing where my hand is touching my head and placing the clipper there.  It sounds like I'm crazy, but removing the backward visual input and replacing it with the feel of the clipper on my head, I can internally "visualize" where the clipper is and effortlessly maneuver the clipper.  Once again, I just do a little at a time to check the results, which is amazingly accurate.

I found this barber from Scotland on YouTube who posts tutorials on hair cutting, which was very helpful:
