November 22, 20223 yr Can anyone point me in the direction of a good tutorial for learning the A310? I'm trying to learn the autopilot (specifically how to make it follow a pre-set course/flight plan.)

November 22, 20223 yr iniBuilds have excellent tutorials for both beginners and more seasoned simmers. Like 320 Pilot‘s tutorials they‘re very informative and pleasant to listen to. November 22, 20223 yr It also takes full advantage of the built in checklist system from the top menu bar, I find it very helpful.
November 22, 20223 yr The Microsoft Flight Simulator channel has a whole suite of 9 Inibuilds tutorials. They are, in my view, superb - proper tutorials rather than part tutorial/part demo. They are here: (15) Aircraft Discovery Series 1: Airbus 310-300, Ep. 1: Welcome to the A310 - YouTube Ryzen 7 9800x3D @5.2GHz; ASUS X670-P Motherboard; nVidia 4080 (factory o/c); 32G 5600MHz DDR5 SDRAM; Pimax Crystal Light VR Headset; Quest 3 VR Headset
November 22, 20223 yr Author Thanks everyone, I'll have to take a look. My problem is nothing seems to be happening when I try to engage the NAV hold mode.
December 7, 20223 yr All great these video tutorials but how do you *print* such a tutorial ??.... My point is what's the use of a tutorial if you cannot have it beside you in the cockpit ? IMHO the best tut is just the 'old fashioned' written/printed one. Anything like that around for the A310 ??.... Thanks ! Jan

You could print the documentation that is supplied with the A310 (in the Offical folder) by Inibuilds but I'd rather have it digitally so I can search for things. It saves on paper too. For this I have a 2nd PC but a tablet would be a good or even better alternative I think. Complete documentation for an aircraft like this would probably not fit in a simple book or stack of printouts so that's why pilots use checklists; these are the perfect summaries of their training for the type. Thanks orchestra, Yes, going to look into the inibuilds docs for printing if nothing else turns up sooner or later. The videos are actually very nice and very well done but for me fail as tutorial because of the sheer complexity (not a contemporary jet airliner fan by heart but i had a lot of fun with the A310 in FSX. IIRC it was a wonderful freeware model). I gathered many manuals for aircraft i loved in FSX. Even found a company that would print and deliver them in a ringbinded hard cover for a very small price. My 'Piece de Résistance' has always been ' 737 Simulator and Checkride Procedures' by Mike Ray. Ok, payware but totally worth it if you ask me. I'd love something like that for the A310 too. Fat change i suppose. A written tutorial for the A310, like the videos, could also be done in parts. F.i. with the automatic ready to taxi option i could possibly make a first flight within reasonable time. A brief written tutorial for this would suit me fine. Anyway, i'll keep 'n eye on this, it's quite a wonderful model, isn't it, both internal and external and for free and all ! Thanks O. 😎 Jan

Despite the fact I'be been flightsimming from the FS5 days I considered flying them somewhat daunting and I have too much fun flying GA and prop airliners. However, thanks to a few Youtube tutorials (mainly for the Justflight BAE 146) flying jet airliners seem less intimidating to me. These and the Inibuilds tutorials for the A310 are both very well made and focus not just on a specific airliner but help to understand flying jet airliners in general as well. Comprehensive manuals are still important off course and often interesting to read.
