November 23, 20223 yr Winthrop Massachusetts. East of Boston and maybe 1 air mile from KBOS. Approaching the former island from Logan, this island was the setting for The Scarlet Letter. The beach where I used to jog to keep in shape, it's called Shore Drive. My first school, I went here from grades 1 through 6. It's now condos. This school was literally mere yards from the house I lived in. You can see how close this town was from KBOS. The Fort Heath condos. This place used to be a WW2 fort and as a kid, before they built these condos I'd explore the underground tunnels. But after they built these condos, as a very lonely child I'd fly my hand built box kites on the rocks directly below the nose of the chopper. Jack Sawyer
