December 9, 20223 yr My displays in the fenix are still unsharp after the last sim update. I haven't been having much time for flghtsimming lately, has there been a fix out yet? What are the best settings at the moment, I am using a i9-10850k and RTX 3090. Which settings should I use for best performance and quality?
December 9, 20223 yr You'll get a lot of responses to this question, but here's a simple way to do the job. I make use of DLSS which does, indeed, create blurry display screens in the cockpit. This can be corrected using the sharpening function provided in Nvidia's GeForce Experience settings panel under IMAGE SCALING. I use 77% scaling and a sharpening factor of 50, and that works fine on a 1080p screen. Totally easy and no fiddling with .opt files, control panels, what have you. I get around 50 fps in the 737 with a combination of ULTRA and HIGH settings. Give it a try. Be careful with that sharpen factor because you can way oversharpen the image. It's easy to set to something appropriate because you can adjust while looking at the screen so it will only take a few seconds and once you set it, you can forget it. Good luck. Correct @DADhowever, you forgot to mention that using TAA removes the benefit of DLSS ie much improved framerates. But, you don't get something for nothing! There is always a compromise. :) Cheers Terry No. No, Mav, this is not a good idea. Sorry Goose, but it's time to buzz the tower! December 10, 20223 yr I have render scaling set to my native monitor's resolution which is 4K and that has made my displays as sharp as can be. With the 3090 you should be able to set render scaling to 4K and see the benefits. Try it out.
December 10, 20223 yr TAA and 125% resolution makes it sharp for me. AMD Ryzen R9 9950X3D | Asus Astral RTX 5080 OC | 32 GB DDR5 6000 CL30 | 3440x1440 G-Sync | Logitech Pro Throttles Rudder Yoke Panels | Thrustmaster T.16000M FCS | TrackIR 5 | Oculus Rift S
