But with everything happening, it's "looks" like they are fed up with reviewer talking not in the best way about their product. If they can manage to communicate on that and as a gesture of good will, extend the time limit, but also release some meaningful big updates quickly, the situation will improve, if not they will continue on the bad start They absolutely don't have to extend the time limit, nor to justify the decision. Again. Media isn't owed permanent preview copies in any shape or form, and I don't really think we should encourage false media entitlement (funny I have to say this as a member of the media), which really is already way overblown and isn't a good thing to begin with. This doesn't contribute in any shape or form to the "bad start" unless for those who want to find whatever reason they can to cry foul, or youtubers that feel entitled to free product. Neither should be encouraged. Edited January 7, 20233 yr by Abriael Editor-in-Chief at SimulationDaily.com
January 7, 20233 yr I say again the preview videos made should of been more to do with showing a take off/landing things in between but judging by the fact it can't do basic things that is why they chose not too. A trailer of the systems wasn't really a trailer showing the systems. It showed the PFD, MFD, FMS didn't go into too much detail on it. Should the people who got media copies be unhappy they got activation for a month. They should be lucky they got something to show off and test for themselves especially if they get most things for free from other developers as well. Edited January 7, 20233 yr by carlanthony24

If they see bugs, missing features and they learned that maybe because of bad review, a limit has been applied, they won't spend couple hours online searching about media and preview copy usage, they will just have even less thrust in the dev and will be less likely to buy it. it's all about all they handle their communication, and they need it to be great if they want to get a lot of cash

They then also get a copy and start slating it. If they maybe said to the developer this is what we think. We can help iron out the bugs by helping you test etc, but they would rather kick up a fuss of them removing the activation off them. All I will say is at least people will receive a product that is still alpha and not have to wait so many months for them to get their hands on the product.

There'll be plenty of media content to find when it launches and in the following months regardless of whether certain youtubers get a free copy or not. Captainsim does basically zero communication, and yet youtube's full of their stuff because it looks good-ish on video. Edited January 7, 20233 yr by Abriael Editor-in-Chief at SimulationDaily.com

Sure, but the most excited people, those whiling to buy day one, were a lot to watch the different streams, will they keep in mind some of the things that happened during preview or will they forget? First impression can be very important. Early access seems to be more spontaneous, people like this plane in general and they assure themselves it will get nearly all the missing features with time, that's what happened with Airsimmer, you get a big amount of customer on launch day and a lot less after. So what has happened the last few days is important and might change their decision.

Considering how much absolutely reviled stuff like the aircraft by Bredoked have sold, I really think you're overestimating the influence influencers have in the MSFS market. The audience of the "popular" youtubers is actually pretty minimal compared to the addressable market as a whole. Keeping them happy may be important for people selling 80 bucks add-ons for the super-hardcore, but this? Nah. Edited January 7, 20233 yr by Abriael Editor-in-Chief at SimulationDaily.com

It's not the job of the Streamers even if some might, they are here mostly to communicate on the product, to make their viewer aware of it and trigger sells

The Bredoked was very different, about 10$ cheaper, was a very famous liners, maybe the most famous liners in flight simulator in general and it was released at a time where no other liners addons were available. You can't compare the both of them
January 7, 20233 yr Trigger sales they definitely didn't do. Imagine slating a product then a well known developer or a new developer again comes into the mix they will think twice about giving it to them. Their is a few streamers that actually give balanced feedback and would be willing to help though.

You can't compare the both of them Bredoked didn't sell just airliners, and if you think they've stopped selling now that PMDG is available I think you'd be surprised. $10 also isn't a big difference at all. Take a look at the subscribers of the average flight sim youtuber that's considered "popular" and compare it with a 10 million addressable market. That's a drop in the ocean. But that's actually not my main point. I really, really don't think we should encourage media entitlement by getting up in arms on behalf of youtubers that get bent out of shape because they don't receive an unlimited free product. Having worked in the industry for over two decades, media entitlement and privilege have already gone way out of hand. They really don't need further encouragement. Here very limited info below, but at least they are incorporated as an AG in 2021. https://www.dnb.com/business-directory/company-profiles.flightsim_studio_ag.99c216787c0b3c660971d7f0b092f064.html Cheers, Pete Thanks for posting this. In the MSFS partnership video, it says that FlightSim Studio AG had about 15 team members as of last year: https://youtu.be/Eoz6PT6cWzE?t=83 100,000 Euros is not a lot of starting capital, if they have a 15 member team. But we don't know if they had further cash injections. The assumption is, they did get paid by Microsoft for helping MSFS with the glider work. Having said that, a 15 team member company (if they still have 15 team members) will burn through cash quite quickly. It's not cheap. My guess is that PMDG also probably has about 10 to 15 team members? In any case, if FlightSim Studio AG has 15 team members like that video says, and assuming their employees, on average, are roughly paid comparable to PMDG employees, then FlightSim Studio AG has a huge goal to meet. i5-12400, RTX 3060 Ti, 32 GB RAM

You miss the point, a couple of years ago it was the perfect time for BREDOK3D, even as bad as their 737 was, it's was number one in the sells. Right now, it's not the perfect time for FSS plane, at least in the state it is, you can buy the fenix at 49 pounds including taxes, just 15 bucks more than the incomplete, early access E-jet, and I think even cheaper the 737-600.

I think I've developed a pretty good feel for the market in over two decades observing it from a professional standpoint. This is gonna sell *very* well with or without the help of this or that influencer simply because it looks very good (which Bredoked's planes don't). But again, that's not my main point, so I'll repeat it. I really, really don't think we should encourage media entitlement by supporting streamers that get bent out of shape because they don't receive an unlimited free product. Being part of the media and having gone to events like Twitchcom and similar, I have a very direct point of view on the fact that media entitlement and privilege have already gone way out of hand. They really don't need to be encouraged any more than they already are. Edited January 7, 20233 yr by Abriael Editor-in-Chief at SimulationDaily.com
