After some Google work I found out that in resetting the new BIOS to optimised defaults it had changed my boot drive type - so make sure in BIOS the boot drive is correct i.e. AHCI or raid and even try changing it to RAID even if it isn't set up as an array and that may get it to boot. If it doesn't help then no harm done.
January 3, 20233 yr Author Thank you all for your suggestions and help. My PC is running again. A few days ago, when I replaced my faulty 850W PSU with the 650W one, I was lazy and didn't feel like doing all the cable management again. So I replaced the PSU but kept the "old" cable that powered my SSD and HDD. Yesterday not knowing what else to do I replaced the "old" cable with the one that came with the 650W PSU and voilá... all my drives were recognized and my PC booted into Windows like nothing ever happened. I still don't understand why it didn't boot to Windows in the first place since Windows is installed on the M2 Nvme drive but I really don't care. It's working and that's all that matters. January 4, 20233 yr True, modular PSU pinouts are not standardized, wish they were, but they are not. You are fortunate that nothing got fried when using the old cables with the new PSU. My computer: ABS Gladiator Gaming PC featuring an Intel 10700F CPU, EVGA CLC-240 AIO cooler (dead fans replaced with Noctua fans), Asus Tuf Gaming B460M Plus motherboard, 16GB DDR4-3000 RAM, 1 TB NVMe SSD, EVGA RTX3070 FTW3 video card, dead EVGA 750 watt power supply replaced with Antec 900 watt PSU.
