Purchased this one last night and love it, handles great with my Alfa yoke but I just can't get the autopilot to work, the altitude selector works fine though. 

Any suggestions?

I see, thanks for the info.

This is a beauty to hand-fly but for long hauls, I would love for AP to work, oh well no big deal.

The AP is not broken. It's just not compatible with the latest WT GNS530.

Not that I know of.

I'm not familiar with this aircraft, but would the PMS50-GNS530 mod work with this?

Might try the just updated Merry Christmas present WT GNS 430/530 of yesterday.  Ver 1.0.4 I believe. Supposed to cure a few more of just these kinds of ills I do believe.

I doubt many RW pilots use the Garmin anyway preferring an ipad with suitable nav software?

You can use heading to keep on course. At least that's what my daughter in law does? I forget the name of the app she has on her ipad. IFR only I suppose. She never fiddles with the Garmin when I've been up with her?

Yes I use one myself with an app called Skydemon, but we were discussing Autopilot functionality

I wish I could but nothing works, just the Altitude selector, Hdg, Nav, Apr, Rev, Alt and Vs buttons do nothing.
