Zinertek - Jagged runways with snow

Featured Replies

Have noticed lately that the runways at both departure and destination airports have texture issues when there's snow cover.

Below shots from today during a flight at Lake Superior to Thunder Bay. I am using the latest @Zinertek from the market place...

Anyone else having the same issue?

I haven't noticed that and been flying in the snow for a few days. Zinertek is supposed to get an update this week.

Don't think it's a Zinertek issue, I get that as well at default airports from time to time, I think its a streaming issue, lag, something like that.

I've opted into MSFS beta to finally get the snow fix Asobo has implemented in it.

Most of the word not allowed snow coverage on airport RWYs and taxiways are gone now and it's fun to fly in winter again 👍

I don't have any beta fix or beta for that matter, been flying all over the North East this past week, no issues with runways and taxiways.

Thanks Konterhalbe, will be looking forward to that 🙂

Then you've just been lucky. Or you forgot to back out after the last beta (if you were in it)

Where did you see that?

I don't think this issue is due to our textures. MSFS tends to blur out the ground textures the higher you go up but in this case, this looks like some weird anomaly. We haven't had any other customer report jagged runway edges in snow conditions.

We are planning to release a new update for 'Enhanced Airport Graphics' very soon. We were hoping to release the update on Thursday but alas, seems like the Marketplace version might take a week or two to be released. So for now, SimMarket  and the FlightSim Store will have the update ready on Thursday.

The delay at the Marketplace is due to the fact that they are short-staffed right now due to the holidays, so we appreciate everyone's patience on this.

The announcement for version 4.0 of 'Enhanced Airport Graphics'  was made on the thread below a while ago:

I have never heard of Zinertek causing jagged runways. Been using it since the day one. You have something else going on.
