I have been at this for decades now and I still have not been able to explain it to people in a way they will understand in a time frame that does not see them walk away and start drinking with someone else.  I've never found it particularly hard to say that I like to play flight simulator myself... Might be a generational thing, but I don't think there's any stigma in playing video games. Most people are curious about aviation at least in passing, so the idea that someone would pretend to be pilot isn't any weirder than pretending to be a solider, or wizard, or whatever else you can pretend to be on the computer these days. If anything, it's probably less weird than those other things 😛 To be honest I'm not sure how I could take more than a sentence or two to explain it. It's a pretty simple concept really! 7800X3D - RTX 5080 - 64GB DDR5 - Dan C4-SFX
