It doesn't let me select it from the drop-down menu. It just "jumps" back to runway selection, whatever I select in the drop-down.

I kept thinking that too, but when I do it, if you zoom into the airport you will see a green dot on BOTH the runway and the gate.  If you then hit fly you will be at the gate, cold and dark.  It’s another bug for Asobo to fix.

I never looked at the map.

Thanks!

Also take note that the menu may still show (or revert to) the runway as your starting selection: just zoom in to the plan and you should see you're starting position is still the selected spot. It's a bit buggy...

Lol sorry, missed your post.

Guess “great minds think alike”? 🤷‍♂️😀

I fly 2-3 flights every day, I load the Simbrief into MSFS. Then I go to the menu in MSFS, select the airport, and it gives me the choice of runway or a parking stand. Never have any issue, in almost 2,000 flights.

Interesting. I have this issue on 2/3 of all the flights lately, for about a month or two. Didn't have it before either.

Since I'm not the only one, I guess there must be a reason for it. I use Simbrief with Navigraph subscription. Load the flight plan into MSFS and that's it.

Thanks to VFXSimmer and tup61, now I know it just looks like a bug. I should read what people tell me more carefully next time 😁

After you load the FP into MSFS, and start MSFS, what do you do next, and which aircraft are you normally using?

I start MSFS, go to World Map, select an aircraft, load the flight plan and start the flight.

I mainly fly the Kodiak, CJ4, Hjet and JF PA28 lately. Happens with all of them but not always.

OK so you are loading the FP from the load screen. When you do are you making sure that MSFS is not picking a SID and STar and instead just  says direct in that menu?

I don't follow. I press the space bar and load the Simbrief flight plan.

When you load the flight plan are you loading it from a box that contains all the flight plans that are in MSFS, and you select the one you want?

I select the one I want, the flight plan I generated in Simbrief.

So you load it from something that looks like the screen shot I just posted

Ater  you load the FP from the screen I posted above the next screen you should see is this.  This is where you either select the starting runway or a gate or stand.
