I'm hearing folks getting terrible FPS/performance still, I'm going to hold out a little longer now.

Thanks for posting.  I’m not quite ready to jump in yet but I’m getting closer, good to see early updates coming quickly.

I've only had one quick flight since the update.  I need to do some more checks on it but:

- the ILS fix stated in the release notes didn't seem to have worked for me.  It still wouldn't capture the localiser whatever I did.  It might be me so need to try again.

- the VR cockpit view, which is not mentioned in the release notes...seems a lot better 🙂

I'll be able to replicate some of my pre-update flights over the weekend and see what's got better and also update on my localiser/gs attempts

Ryzen 7 9800x3D @5.2GHz; ASUS X670-P Motherboard; nVidia 4080 (factory o/c); 32G 5600MHz DDR5 SDRAM; Pimax Crystal Light VR Headset; Quest 3 VR Headset

Well - I tried to do the next flight by the book.  EGBB to EGNX via the correct SID and STAR, with the correct EGNX ILS frequency entered in ALL Nav boxes (active, standby, Nav 1 and NAV2)!

Results:

- the VR cockpit view is definitely much improved, even though it is not on their fix list.  Texture of the panels is now close to 2D.  However, for me, all of the text is still fuzzy (and yes, I'm running on TAA and not DLSS)

- The flight plan map took a long time to catch up, even though the aircraft was actually following the correct path.  I was past my first waypoint and the map suddenly synchronised where I was

- Again, decent fps with live weather and on the Reverb G2 - around 40-45

- It was an approach deliberately chosen to be a smooth turn onto the approach path.  I also set the altitude at ILS levels way before getting there.  Speed right, gear down, flaps right  Switched from GPS at the correct time.  Pretty close to the runway orientation, approaching the flight path at about 10 degrees and the green bar started moving.  Pressed APP.  And...once again, it flew right through it.

- I manually did a go-around.  Flew back out a few miles and came back directly on track with the runway with the glide slope one dot to go and everything configured correctly.  Pressed APP.  Flew right through it.

So no - for me, the ILS issue isn't at all fixed.

But at least the VR cockpit is half fixed

I eagerly await the next update or someone to post a 'did you remember to...' hint if they successfully got the little tinker to actually land  🙂

It should be that easy.

I have been having luck by not even programming an approach into the MCDU with this v.0.9.1. I believe this was mentioned on their discord although I can't seem to find it now in that mess.

Choose the Rwy ILS, its frequency and HDG and when i get to the top of descent switch to HDG mode, descend and vector myself into the airport. So far so good intercepting LOC and following the GS.

BTW, new docx for v0.9.2 are available at https://docs.flightsim-studio.com/docs/perf-index-1

and a new build on the 24th of this month.
