Fenix/PMDG w/PSXT or FSLTL

You can find all that in the Manual, you know ...:

The parking percentage determines how many static+live aircraft you will see parked. You can set that in the GUI if PSXT runs, or in the airport file directly (PSXT not running).

The lateral range, that is the radius of the circle around your user aircraft determines how many live aircraft will get spawned in your Sim. The lower the less. Range is 5  to 100 nm. You can set it in the GUI (PSXT needs to run), or in the parameters.xml file directly, if PSXT is not running.

Thank you

I like your FSLTL settings, but I find the performance with the 737 is rather good. How many FPS do you get at EGLL with either Fenix or the A310 (which are heavier)?

I bought the Fenix last week and so far have not gotten around to flying it so only have very limited grip of its performance but having said that, I did take a taxi about Heathrow to compare it and it does run a little worse for me than the PMDG. When I said the lowest I saw the PMDG drop to was 44 I saw the Fenix drop to 38 with the same settings. However, it's worth noting that those figures were just the worst that I saw. Taxiing about, the Fenix generally stayed in the 40's. 42-50 perhaps with the PMDG generally settled in the 48-55 area. The other thing I noticed about the Fenix though is that the PMDG frame rate is far more stable. The Fenix fluctuates much more. I will be interested to see how it behaves when I'm really giving it something to think about.

I also should have mentioned that my frame rate is limited to 55 at the moment so when it wants to go above that it can't, which I wouldn't see often with traffic, iniBuilds heathrow and these aircraft but absolutely would do in the air, of course.

I highly recommend to check out this video:

Basically it explains how to get more, stutter free fps by deleting the Nvidia Shader cache and a few other tweaks. It gave me a 10 fps increase overall with my medium system. I am using PSXT/RealTraffic with FSTL. Even at larger airports I notice a big increase in smoothness overall. Q8 Pilot is solid in his tips in his tips and tricks....

Worth a try, I know every system is different...

I'd hate to fly without traffic so I wanted to see if anyone had tips on smoothing out the sim when flying with traffic.  Thanks!

Yep, me too, that's why I use FSLTL's injector controls to keep static aircraft low and IFR at 14 in a 50km radius.  This is enough to see a few planes taxiing and in the air near the airport, and that's plenty sufficient for ambience.  I don't care to run a full on max traffic simulator within the flight simulator for starters I don't really like crowded anyway!  With YOUR hardware you could be achieving stunningly wonderful performance everywhere, at least in most planes.  Fenix I understand takes its toll on performance compared to PMDG 737 series.  I understand if one's CPU has onboard graphics this can be accessed by Fenix to offload some workload, and your i712700K has integrated graphics.  Terrain LOD has a major impact on CPU so get that down as well and the reality is you'll hardly notice a difference, especially if you're concentrating on operating the aircraft.
