FSDT KORD Update

Recommended Posts

If I bought the KORD update via the MSFS marketplace, how do I get the latest update?  I checked in the marketplace and it says I am up to date but I haven't been able to get the latest version with the extended 9C runway.  I have other FSDT products and am able to update via the installer, but since I bought ORD in the marketplace it isn't showing in the FSDT installer.

You just have to wait until the Marketplace pushes the update. They have an approval process that seems sometimes to take a week and sometimes to take two months, but at some point it will come. They generally update on Thursday so if we are fortunate it will come today.

What's in the update? ORD needs a bit of work so I'm glad there's something going on.

I read they added de-icing pads remotely for GSX and extended the 9/27C runway with taxi signs.

Yeah, I know... I bought this one and a few others before I learned that lesson.

They just added remote de-icing facilities and that's all. No word regarding 9L/27R extension, which is badly needed.

9R needs update as well. It's been finally extended to match 10C length.

They need to fix the missing center line taxi lights. Also I feel like they need to re-visit this airport for performance as it is a dog.

It's always been like that and it always will be. Inherent limitations.

What limitations are you referring to?

Chicago Area itself and a lot of KORD/KMDW related traffic. It's similar to EGLL/KLAX/KJFK/KEWR situations. Nothing has changed much since FS2002 times 🙂

so you mean performance related? I have a much better performance at any NY airport than approaching to or moving around O'hare.
