February 13, 20233 yr I'm not in the mood to build a new computer. It's just a PITA now to be honest. The Jetline's are pricey, but having someone do all the work and make sure the system is functional would be nice. I've never had a build failure, but years ago the amount of parts were more limited. It's way too much work with compatibilities now. Is this a crazy idea? 😄 - Chris Gigabyte Z790 Aorus Elite AX | Intel Core i9 13900KF | Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4090 24 GB | 64GB DDR5 SDRAM | Corsair H100i Elite 240mm Liquid Cooling | 1TB & 2TB Samsung Gen 4 SSD | 1000 Watt Gold PSU | Windows 11 Pro | Thrustmaster Boeing Yoke | Thrustmaster TCA Captain X Airbus | Asus ROG 38" 4k IPS Monitor (PG38UQ) Asus Maximus VII Hero motherboard | Intel i7 4790k CPU | MSI GTX 970 4 GB video card | Corsair DDR3 2133 32GB SDRAM | Corsair H50 water cooler | Samsung 850 EVO 250GB SSD (2) | EVGA 1000 watt PSU - Retired
February 13, 20233 yr I use https://pcpartpicker.com/ to build my systems. They check for compatibility of parts, find you the best prices of components and have build suggestions. Of course having someone else build it is more convenient and hassle free.... Most of what is said on the Internet may be the same thing they shovel on the regular basis at the local barn.
February 14, 20233 yr Jetline is pricey and I considered them too. I ended up buying a NewEgg ABS pre-built system. Given the issues with NewEgg's build, I think I would have been better off with Jetline or similar custom builder. I went pre-built because it was less expensive that trying to buy all the components. That was late in 2020, during the pandemic shutdowns and everyone was buying computers so they could work from home. Components were few and far between and the prices were outrageous. February 14, 20233 yr Jetline is a good company I have bought two systems over the years. They are also very knowable on any thing flightsim and they are there to help you when you have issues with ether hardware or software. CPU: Intel i9-11900K @5.2 / RAM: 64GB DDR4 3200 / GPU: 4080 16GB /
February 14, 20233 yr Moderator Buying a professionally built computer gives you a warranty over the whole system. Buying components and building it yourself only covers each component. If something fails to work it may not be obvious where the problem lies. I used to build my own but since 2013 now buy professionally built computers. Chillblast in the UK is my preferred supplier.
