February 21, 20233 yr Hi Everybody, I just noticed that my real weather folder has weather data dating back to last year, shouldn't this data get flushed? It's really starting to build up at over 3GB, just dumped the entire lot of them! February 21, 20233 yr Good eye. My folder is at 2.3 GB at the moment. Maybe the data is retained for some kind of historical weather purposes when you select a past date? 7950X3D + 7900 XT + 64 GB + Linux | 4800H + RTX2060 + 32 GB + Linux My add-ons from my FS9/FSX days
February 21, 20233 yr Guys, just delete the content of that folder before starting XP. Older datas are not needed. i9 12900k, RTX 3090, 32GB RAM
February 21, 20233 yr Might well be to account for historical weather, as Bjoern suggests, by creating local instances instead of always having to download it from a central repository. Hi, Not sure about that, if one misses many weeks of flying they'd be missing a ton of info. Over time if one flies everyday, that folder is going to build up to be extremely large, just on the chance you may want to go back and use historical weather. This doesn't sound right to me, but I could be wrong. They probably simply forgot about cleaning the "garbage" on that folder, but I'm sure someone will now chime a warning at the Slack group 🙂 Flying gliders since 1980 Flightsimming since 1992 AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)

There was a discussion about that on the org and it’s not for creating historical weather. They stated they will automatically clean that folder in future. In the meantime you can just delete its content. i9 12900k, RTX 3090, 32GB RAM
February 22, 20233 yr Whether intended for "historical weather" or not - some people "complain" 😉 that they have historical weather, others (not XP-users specifically) want that feature so badly 😀 ...
