1.31.18.0 Beta is out?

If I put only the C170, C337, C182, and the PC12 in, the sim works fine. Once I install any of the other Carenado aircraft, the sim crashes on start-up.

Thanks for confirming Monica.

I was having so much trouble over the weekend (CTD every time on loading) I just dumped all of my Carenado aircraft out of the 'Official' folder into a backup folder for now, and I finally got into the sim.  I will put back the ones you mention.

I really want to fly their new Archer, so after attempting a load with the four aircraft you mention, if it goes through, I will try putting the Archer back in as well, unless you have it and have tried it?

This was a bug that MS / Asobo fixed in the last SU beta, and they seem to have forgotten about it again this time, so it has regressed!

Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

as I said before: C182, Seminole, Seneca and PC-12 all updated to latest version and lots of other addons in the Community all living in perfect harmony side by side in my hangar. there must be something else going on. I also use Addons Linker (flightsim.to) to include only the addons I need for a specific flight. I also use Addons Linker to check for double entries in ModelLib file names and automatically fix them, and I also manually empty the shader directory, plus I have 64 GB memory and all WorkingTitle addons from market place latest versions. I don't use the default directory for MSFS but have it installed on D:\FS2020. MSFS Store version Premium Deluxe.

There is a similar problem with the Just Flight aircraft: I can load all of them except the Warrior, but the Warrior on its own works fine in MSFS.

It seems to me it is the combination of certain aircraft that causes issues. I don't know if someone has tested those Carenado's one by one but its possible those also work fine on their own.

Yes, I have moved all of my JF aircraft out as well now.  Warrior, the Arrows, 146, and Hawk.
Like I say, I will start reintroducing them gradually to see which ones stop an MSFS load.
The CTD happens quite early in the load process, so not too bad.

As you have said, I am worried it may just be down to permutations rather than the single aircraft themselves, so it could be hard to trace.
Asobo just need to do what they did last time to fix it.

I eagerly await the 13.11.8.1 beta hotfix so we can get on with testing everything else!
Up to now, I am liking the new turbulence setting.  I am now on medium.

The 146 seems to work fine with any combination of other JF aircraft I have. Currently have the 146 and Warrior installed.
The Warrior needs an update though since the NAV/GPS switch is fighting for control with the GNS530.

The turbulence switch is nice. Medium can still be a lot as I found out trying to land on Alderny. -180fpm on touchdown simply, and I was hauling whisky at the time🤯
Had a lot of crosswind though, ~17 kts with gust up to 27 according to real weather.

That is excellent information - sincere thanks!

As for turbulence, yes even on medium, I am sure it will keep us on our toes!

That is a fairly strong crosswind - what aircraft were you using?

Keep that whiskey safe!

Go for low than in case of the turbulence - think of the whiskey..🤭

The combination of addon CTDs always seem so weird to me…especially given the lengths Asobo has gone to so that the addon structure has to be all separate from each other.

In any event, hopefully they get the CTDs and the PMDG parking brake issues settled in the next beta so I can jump in.  I’m really eager to use the updated A310, any feedback on that?  Particularly the sound updates?

I was using the Warrior. Yeah, thats a lot of crosswind but if it had been steady I probably could have managed. However, the gust of wind just before touchdown ruined it. I know I should have gone around.
I just started a new career in NeoFly and the only aircraft I could afford besides the 152 was the Warrior. As a coincidence, my virtual copilot which handles the radios told ATC that we were "with Whiskey to land" which brought a big smile on me face.
