1.31.18.0 Beta is out?

Featured Replies

I can't even load with all my Addon Linker addons disabled.  What this leaves is some payware third party like all my Carenado aircraft, some payware scenery.

Anyone find the magic addon that is causing the beta to CTD?

EDIT:  Got it working in MSFS Safe Mode.  So something in the main Community folder caused by a payware addon lol.

Sorry, bringing CoreTemp to the front seems to rob 5 or 6 frames.

You could probably go quite a bit lower with your voltages and bring down your temps and power draw.

I run at 5.4ghz at 1.22v.

Yup. I'm still new to this generation of processors though. Still experimenting and doing a lot of reading. And unlike previous generations, I haven't found any step-by-step guides for this board, yet.

EDIT: And of course, stuff like this is just scary! Don't want to turn my new CPU into a coaster..... https://youtu.be/IAIDsM6fZa0

Trying to track down what mod was crashing the sim, looks like it is about justflight arrows.

As soon as i removed them from community folder, sim launches again. Now goind to add the other ones to see if there's something else too.

Briefly checked the JF Piper arrow and the BAe 146, they both worked just fine on my side. So as it appears, it isn't a general problem that affects all users in the same way.

For those who're trying the beta, any feedback/thoughts on the changes to thermals and new turbulence settings/overrides with current gliders and both light + heavy aircraft?

There's also this thread on the official forums which some glider/soaring pilots plan to provide feedback on, that first post there is a good summary of the current issues with thermals: https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/incoming-soaring-feedback-on-the-su12-weather-update/576965

Remove all your Carenado aircraft from official folder.

It's difficult to know exactly what is going wrong without logging but combinations of aircraft can cause the sim to CTD (there was a issue with the same symptoms with the previous beta that Asobo had to fix)

Happy with the release notes around AI traffic. I appreciate all the work from the testers so I can enjoy this when it comes out.
Is the FSLTL traffic injector alone working ok?

@AnkH Fiddling around some more, I found that at some point I reduced the number of AI planes in FSLTL from 90 to 50, and that results in around a 10fps difference, which brings me down closer to what you are expecting.

For me, it was the JustFlight Turbo Arrow & Warrior.  I've had no problems with any addon scenery or libraries.

//42 Flow no longer works but does not cause a crash - they are aware of it.  Uninstalling it restores the MS toolbar.

Parking brake on PMDG 737 has issues, too.

No turbulence when high above mountains, very nice. Also nice, after a 5 hour flight performance still very smooth at the arrival airport.

Navigraph database needs an update. My Simbrief plan had only user waypoints in the msfs map.

Turbulence defaulted to low for me, make sure to double check your settings people.

Yeah, the AIG+Live Traffic crash seemed to be related to the amount of models/liveries trying to match.

Originally I thought it was the MDL format, but even after removing all the MDL models it still crashes.

FSLTL by itself works fine. I saw a theory that maybe with AIG there's too many models/liveries and it's overloading the live traffic matching.
