This is with a COMPLETELY empty community folder so just the WT530 mod.

I realise that I am using you as a Guinea pig (😀) but could you try deleting the WT530 mod using the content manager?

I have some of the nastiest, jankiest, most outdatediest add-ons from flightsim.to in my community folder and so far, all of the betas I've opted into have just worked. Never bothered with touching the community folder.

no problems with any of the default workingtitles from the marketplace:

60-130 fps. no CPU overclocking.

very nice.

This is the second beta in a row where I've seen combinations of planes (mainly Carenado, Just Flight and Milviz) cause CTDs on launch and I'm frankly wondering if whatever fix Asobo put in place last time has been removed in this update.

working just fine, see above screenshot

I guess you also lowered your TLOD and some other settings for this airport, correct? I could get FPS around 60 with AI traffic on EGLL with adjusted settings, so all fine and a nice example of yours about what FG can do in such CPU limited scenarios.

Actually its just default, but what I've found is that MSFS reacts very differently to various CPU settings, and even my graphics card reacts. I also had lower FPS until I updated my bios, and received updated CPU speed options.

There was even one combination of settings that kept the GPU at 100% pretty much at all times and FPS was much higher, but I cant remember exactly what I did.

I've only had the new machine for about a week, and still experimenting. The first day running Cinebench was an immediate 100c on all cores, and my hair standing straight up.

Then were promising experiments (that I have to go back to) with just P-cores active.

Now I have all cores overclocked, with Cinebench temps not exceeding 80c. (Had to purchase a CPU contact frame)

Now I will be seeing if I can match some people out there, and get all cores to something like 5.5ghz....

And find out if msfs will stand for it, and if the temps are too scary.

Upon Beta install, getting CTD's upon loading/fly button pressing.

I had to delete my UserCfg.opt and move EVERYTHING out of my community folder before default Asobo aircrart would actually loading fine on a runway.

Installing addons one-by-one again to catch culprits.

I have a recently updated 13600K build and I managed to overclock all P-Cores to 5.4 even whilst undervolted to 1.22v (using an MSI MB, all E-Cores still active at default).

Cinebench R23 returns just over 25100 with temps around 76-78 max.

The 13600K is a great CPU, and I would look into undervolting to give more thermal headroom on your proposed overclock.

@HiFlyer Overclocked? You signature reads 5.1GHz, which is the P-Core default turbo for the 13600K. And I doubt your E-cores are running with 5.1GHz... I do not have temp issues with everything on default in the BIOS, but I am absolutely happy to learn if you find any modifications resulting in improved performance within MSFS, but I guess we would need another thread for this...

Personally I did not yet bother with overclocking my 13600K, simply because many reviews state it is not worth the increased power draw (and heat generation consequently). And to be honest, going from 5.1 to 5.5GHz means an increase of 7.8%, even if 100% is translated into FPS this would only bring me up from 40 to 43FPS. And 3 FPS are definitively not worth the hassle...

My overclock to 5.4 doesn't yield much performance gain as you correctly stated (3-4 fps maybe).

However, the the undervolt has resulted in HWMonitor showing a CPU draw of around 155W in Cinebench and rarely over 50W in MSFS. This power draw reduction also leads to lower thermals.

From memory I was approaching 250W / 96'C at stock settings in Cinebench, but I have read that MSI motherboards overdo the supply to the CPU just to ensure stability.

I adjusted the power limits (MultiCore Enhancement) which is probably what caused the initial heat spikes. This also caused me to buy the CPU frame to handle the extra temps from the higher power and to more carefully redo my aio seating.

I also corrected my initial mistake of not running my DDR5 at the full XMP max, which also seemed to have an effect on fps.

I believe my e-cores are running at 4.5ghz right now.

Same here. Also have Carenado planes, Just Flight planes, PMS50 GTN and 530, no crashes here. What I don't have installed is the WT530, but Turbomax said it is not crashing the sim too.
