February 28, 20233 yr My Saitek trim wheel works just fine in X-Plane12 and used to work in MSFS. But since the last few updates it does not work at all in MSFS. Any suggestions on how to solve this would really be appreciated. All my other Saitek devices are working except this one. March 2, 20233 yr Had the exact same issue. I found out that you need to go into the controller bindings for the wheel and make a new profile for it, clear any bindings that are there, rotate the wheel, and it will set up new ones, I'll see if I can find the post about this. But you definitely need a new profile for just the wheel. Bryan Wallis aka "fltsimguy" Maple Bay, British Columbia Near CAM3

March 2, 20233 yr I second. Create a new profile and you should be good to go. Also, my wheel will sometimes disconnect itself for no reason while using it. It is rare but does happen. Pulling the USB plug and putting it back helps with that.
March 2, 20233 yr I have to turn the wheel before I start MSFS for it to be recognized by Windows. After that, it works fine.

I have the old Cessna Trim Wheel which I use for ground steering and it's fabulous for that role. To deal with the fact it won't initialize with Windows initialization I bought a simple in-line USB on/off switch: I turn it on after Windows boots to the desktop and all's well. I found I had to turn the wheel way to much whereas this is instant.
