Could you try with Zink enabled in the Graphics options ?

Edit:

do you need Zink ON / enabled to load Zibo737 without loading Cessna first?

Zink did not fix it.

Stared XP12
First screen
Settings
Graphics
Zink = enabled
Start new flight
Zibo737
PC froze up  “Preparing world”

Rebooted PC, started XP12, turned Zink Off.

You might want to retest since you seem to have missed a step. After enabling Zink in the seettings, you need to restart X-Plane before it will take effect. So your steps should be:

  • Start XP12
  • Settings > Graphics > Enable Zink
  • Exit XP12
  • Start XP12
  • Start new flight
  • Zibo 737

Hi,

Questions:

1. Do you need Zink ON / enabled to load Zibo737 without loading Cessna first on your setup?

"After enabling Zink in the seettings, you need to restart X-Plane before it will take effect."

2. Where did you see that information?

Actually I had tested several times with Zink On/enabled re-booting PC after freeze up(s) with and without loading Cessna first but did not mention it in my previous post.

However, I just now I followed your steps again just to re-verify.

With Zink On/enabled all Zibo737 tests failed with full PC freeze ups "Preparing world" if Cessna was not loaded first.

In answer to your question 2, when you tick the box beside the "Enable Zink" setting, text gets added below the setting that states "Restart X-Plane to enable Zink"

Sorry to hear that you're still having trouble with the Zibo. I don't have enough knowledge about the Zibo (or Zink) to offer further suggestions.

Hi,

"In answer to your question 2, when you tick the box beside the "Enable Zink" setting, text gets added below the setting that states "Restart X-Plane to enable Zink"

That is not what is said on my setup.

Could you double check it again?

Note:

Per my first question I should have asked if you have tested Zibo737, and Zink on XP12?

Did you have a chance to look again at what the "Enable Zink" text actually says?

My steps were:

Stared XP12
First screen
Settings
Graphics
Zink = enabled
Start new flight
Zibo737
PC froze up  “Preparing world”

Rebooted PC, started XP12, turned Zink Off.

Make sure you don't have any incompatible plugins installed.

The exact wording is "Restart X-Plane to apply changes"

The text appears beneath the Zink setting when you tick the box to enable it.

Ok, thanks for the follow up.
