March 3, 20233 yr I can't seem to hear the Morse code Identifiers for Navaids like VORs or Localizers. I have tried a few different a/c including the C152/172. If the identifiers are working and there is a general setting I need to turn on to hear them I can't seem to find it. Thanks, Al EDIT: The Morse code identifiers work. Turns out the volume level is so low I had to put on headphones to hear it. And I don't have the best hearing anymore. 🥴 Edited March 3, 20233 yr by ark

It works but you can barely hear it. It's not loud enough to actually identify it. 5800X3D - Strix X570-E - 32GB 3600Mhz DDR4 - AMD RX 9070 XT- Samsung 980 Pro x2
March 3, 20233 yr Same here, I hear them only after I land and things are a bit quieter. I actually know Morse code and like to verify that it is correct but i cannot hear it in most cases. Rick Abshier 5900X | RTX 5070 Ti OC| 64 GB@3600 | India Pale Ale

March 3, 20233 yr I can’t hear them on PMDG 737s, not even faintly, although I’ve not tried with the aircraft shut down and quiet!

Fortunately, all of the common GPS units (e.g., GNS530, GTN750), as well as the G1000/3000, also display the navaid identifier. In a basic non-GPS aircraft like the C152, however, you are still dependent on the audio identifier. Al Edited March 3, 20233 yr by ark
