March 19, 20233 yr Is it just me? At KLAN, maybe other airports, some taxi lights seem to be placed in the middle of the taxi way, near the yellow taxi line and in the path of the aircraft taxi line. They seem out of place. Anybody else notice this at any airport? I will try to post an example of it to this thread the next time I fly. Thanks! Edited March 19, 20233 yr by Skyseek
March 19, 20233 yr It’s not just you. I’ve ran over hundreds of em at default airports. I’m unsure if fixing these is on Asosbo’s to-do list.
March 19, 20233 yr Maybe this will be fixed by the community once the Scenery Gateway becomes available. John Wiesenfeld KPBI | FAA PPL/SEL/IFR in a galaxy long ago and far away | VATSIM PILOT P2 i7-11700K, 32 GB DDR4 3.6 GHz, MSI RTX 3070ti, Dell 4K monitor
March 20, 20233 yr Yep, been this way from day 1. I'm just in the habit of ignoring them at this point. Ryzen 7 7800X3D/B650 X AX | 5090 | 32gig | Win10 | Pimax Crystal Light
March 20, 20233 yr I realized once I began my journey into modifying airports that this is due to the way MSFS (AI) handles building taxiways. The taxiway pavement sections include the taxi lights so you cannot actually remove them without rebuilding the entire airport. You will see it mostly at intersections of taxiways since the AI has no idea if there is an actual edge or not. Hopefully the SDK at some point will allow an easier way to modify this or they can find away around it (unlikely). You really don't need to remake the entire airport if you want to remove some taxiways lamps, Simply add in the project an Airport object with the same ICAO of the apt you want to mod and use the LightSupport object with its exclude properties to remove the lamps where needed
