Checking at the first two random places in two countries I can clearly see the railway ties which require a resolution of less than 30cm. Also for MSFS, the tiles have been made seamless and color-homogised. There are few areas which are pretty good indeed. But I also fly in areas with a grain coarser than 30 cm and with awful map seams and miscoloration on both sides of the seam. Add to it that there are now huge swaths of terrain where the sat imagery has been replaced in the recent months by the offline stuff (this had been acknowledged by the team). March 28, 20233 yr One of the surprises later in the year is another film tie-in similar to Top Gun last year. Promoting Indianna Jones and the Dial of Destiny, you will have a Ford Trimotor that can travel through time to stop the second world war! I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio. They could do it, you know. March 29, 20233 yr The surprise I'd love to see is a significant increase in cloud resolution and complexity. In Aug 2020 I had an RTX 2070 Super in the box and 95% of the time had clouds on ultra and never over-impacted that GPU until getting into certain kinds of thin clouds more like fog or what have you. Since the 3080Ti went in my GPU sits around 65% most of the time, and then there's RTX 4000 series. This is the most glaring deficiency of all IMO, though not as nasty as clouds in XP12 are. I think for the resolution they are at now it's probably as good as it's going to get until they bump that up commensurate w/ increases in hardware that we clearly already have.
