x-plane is a piece of art

I don't consider bug testing/reporting my job any more. YMMV

So basically, what you are saying is, these bugs you spotted are not worth fixing.

I do tend to agree, that ones I thick black cloud soup isnt it?

👍

Unfortunately (for other sims) they most likely will be, because some people do care what it looks like enough to file a bug report rather than how it sims the planes.

not what I said. it would be nice to get fixed but not MY job. I did communicate with Austin many years ago re. x-plane but to no avail. I have given up.

AMD 7800X3D, Windows 11, Gigabyte X670 AORUS Elite AX Motherboard, 64GB DDR5 G.SKILL Trident Z5 NEO RGB (AMD Expo), RTX 4090,  Samsung 980 PRO M.2 NVMe SSD 2 TB PCIe 4.0, Samsung 980 PRO M.2 NVMe SSD 1 TB PCIe 4.0, 4K resolution 50" TV @60Hz, VR: Pimax Crystal Light + HP Reverb G2 @ 90 Hz, Honeycomb Bravo Throttle Quadrant, be quiet 1000W PSU, Noctua NH-U12S chromax.black air cooler.

60-130 fps. no CPU overclocking.

very nice.

no, I don't feel like being part of the beta test team, I would be spending more time bug reporting than actually flying if I reported each and everything. I am sure they know about it anyway.

Considering the amount of negativity you post about XP12, it is just so ironic to state you don't report these issues to LR!

Imagine never reporting anything at all, to any company, for any type of product, yet expect faults to be fixed!

If you would like it to be fixed, there's an action you could do that would help in achieving that. It takes about the same time than writing a post on AVSIM.

Hmmm I don't see how you ratify those two statements.

Either you care enough to want it fixed and therefore its your job to ask them to fix it.

Or you dont want them to fix it.

100% mutually exclusive categories there.

It has been very much not Austins job to respond to bug reports or fix them for many years, so that is hardly surprising, you might as well ask Jorg Neumann to personally train you on flying helicopters as a favour for all of your contributions to the flight sim genre.

In this topic we are not discussing bugs, we are talking about abstract art. 😎
The time for bugs is over.
Bugs in Xplane don't exist, it's all "realism".

I met with him in person, we were not talking about bug fixing but future features.

I was joking, quoting Murmur's "Have you reported it using the bug report page?"

we all make mistakes, tbf to Murmur it wasnt immediately obvious from your OP that you were sharing art you actually want to keep in the sim for all the ages.

I agree it is LRs job to fix bugs, but how will they know if none are reported?
