Bug Fixes
Public Beta – 12.05b3
Bug fixes for X-Plane 12.05b3:

XPD-13983 – acf_tmax dataref broken – sets only first engine.
XPD-13989 – Old and deprecated Aerosoft EDLP Paderborn-Lipstadt airport still getting installed.
XPD-13986 – Assert during flight load at EGLD.
XPD-13985 – Discord rich presence shows wrong aircraft name.
XPD-13992 – Custom map layer can trigger OpenGL matrix stack error.

Installing now.

Should I remove all Aerosoft airports? I still got from default XP12 installation.

  • Aerosoft - LFMN Nice Cote d Azur X
  • Aerosoft - LPFR Faro

System Spec 1: Nvidia RTX 4090,  AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D, Res 5120x1440, HP Reverb G2
System Spec 2: AMD Radeon RX 7900XT, Intel I-9 9990K, Res 3840x1080, HP Reverb G2

It still gets installed back in when you update the scenery.

Setup: RX6800 | 5800X3D + B450 | 32GB 3200MHz | X-Plane 12

Wonder if they have finally fixed the "Lisbon Area Interdiction" for Arm processors?

Last beta didn't and my friends with Macbook Pros couldn't takeoff or land all around the Lisbon area airfields, including the main LPPT 😕

What about the "always rains bellow Cu clouds" bug? Trying to even be open-minded and do something like soaring in XP12 is a mess, for various reasons stemming from bad flight dynamics  modelling of gliders to weather and in this last case, the fact that if you set som Cumulus to try a soaring task, everytime you soar under such a cloud you get precipitation 😕

I was told (by some x-plane word not allowed) that there's always precipitation under clouds. Imagine that, we've been living in a lie all this time...

Years of work at the metoffice, flying gliders under clouds, and I had never realised it 😕  Bummer, that's why I always got my pants wet, now I know!

X-Plane is so word not allowed realistic !!!!

Hmmm, gotta say, having used real weather for about 3 weeks of flight testing now, that's not something I have ever seen in sim.

There is often a "wet" layer just under them, but not precipitation.

Sure you weren't just unlucky?

Not saying its perfect, I hadnt realised the reason Id not seen IFR conditions hitting final is that isnt getting configured properly from live weather, but I definately wouldnt say it was excessive on the precip.

So many flights in different situations (even in winter conditions) and I'm just unlucky? What about all other users that are complaining about this?

I hadn't had the time to try ASXP properly and see if it's yet another thing that Laminar could fix but instead 3rd party developers got to it quicker.

Well, seems I've not recorded a flight with much weather, but I did just do that 744 start video, that's overcast cumulus and there is no precip hitting the windows

Sparks, it's different when you're on ground.

And even worst if instead of OVC or even BKN you set SCT or FEW...

The best example is when we're trying to set a soaring weather situ, with nice cumulus clouds, in a spring or summer day.

You go flying under one of the clouds to check the thermals and... voilà... the canopy starts getting filled with raindrops and patches of water 😕

I friend now using ASX told me it's apparently fixed there, so, it could be fixed by LR too, but there are many other items in their TODO and TOFIX list, just regarding weather modelling...

Would be great if that was the case, but, no such phenomena with SCT or FEW Cu 🙂

It makes sense to have that "always on" while in the process of getting it working, then selectively disable it once its working - otherwise its hard to tell if it's not working or intentionally disabled.
