Just show favourite aircraft - finally!

Featured Replies

Small thing perhaps but I find it a pain scrolling through aircraft to find the one I want, especially when the aircraft is sometimes sorted by developer name rather than aircraft type. Nothing to do with me, but I spotted it on Discord and bought it straight away. Will be trying it today.

To save disk space? Otherwise Favourite mode achieves what you want visually.

Why on earth pay for a program that can do it when it's obviously something MS/Asobo should have included from the beginning. I'm sure it will come at one point if we request it enough.

You should be able to manually uninstall the default aircraft in the content manager. At least the ones added in sim and world updates and those that come with premium / deluxe.

For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

Addon Linker works fine with aircraft already, in exactly the same way as it handles scenery.

You can use it for the default aircraft as well. Copy the original AS/MS folders to a location of your choice and link them back in via the linker.

It's how I have my system set up and it works fine - BUT - you need to be wary of things like the various scenarios, bush flights etc in the sim as if you leave them in place but remove the associated aircraft then the sim will re-download the ones it thinks are missing on start up. If you're never going to use those features, just uninstall them.

I bought the Aircraft Manager, too, one of the first versions already. It has more interesting features, including the definition of Controls profiles per plane/copter. Now, this is a function MS/Asobo should have realized from the begining, too, but unfortunately they didn't and I am not under the impression it's high on their ToDo list either.

Kind regards, Michael
