Nope! It doesn't prove anything. Or - let's say, it differently: it proves only that e.g. a Volkswagen Golf GTI is faster than a Golf Diesel. You know what? For me, XP 11 indeed loads (slightly) slower than XP 12 - see further below. You know how to do correct comparisons? Obviously not. You need to compare apples to apples and not apples to oranges.

1. mSparks system is highly probable different to mine (CPU, GPU, ...). Does he have the scenery completely on the SSD? I have it (partly, namely the custom scenery) on the HDD.
2. He also has orthos and Simheaven scenery like me - however in a rather empty region. I have shown it with San Francisco (which I chose intentionally - with waaaay more buildings), means longer loading and processing time.
3. Monitor resolution: I have 4K, in mSparks video XP 11 is only windowed in HD, thus lower resolution (might have an impact - but I don't know).
4. There might be even more items to consider, but for now it should be sufficient.

So ... although XP 12 has higher requirements than XP 11, it loads faster (on my system). Still impressive. Maybe they have changed the way files load?

Tearing is due to my monitor. Unfortunately, it isn't compatible with nVidia vSync (what I learned only after I bought it), the rest of the mentioned effects is due to recording in 4K and fast movement. Apart from that, it's a well known and popular practice from the so called nay-sayers, to distract from the actual topic.

BTW, you may have noticed, the splash screens in my XP 11 and XP 12 are different to each other and to the original one. It's a simple thing - by replacing a certain file. You don't need to buy something for that task.

There's never any point to threads from certain individuals. They are only meant as bait and instigate certain reactions. Everybody knows it, nobody says it, the threads veer of course as is tradition in the X-Plane forum, mods close it down and the cycle repeats.
