Asobo 747-8i (AAU2) brakes feel weak.

Featured Replies

Finally decided to give the 747-8i a try now that it's been updated with AAU2. The plane flies pretty good but I feel the brakes don't seem to work regardless of sensitivity settings. I have to hold them down to get it to slow down and even then it feels like it's barley grabbing. Anyone else notice this or is this normal for the Asobo 747?

I think 737NGDRIVER on Youtube mentioned this in one of his AAU2 beta videos. If I remember correctly, he was applying maximum brakes but was barely slowing down. Unfortunate to hear that it made it into final release.

Yes indeed the brakes are now almost ineffective, the older B747 instead had unrealistical strong brakes

I thought they purposely did that because the brakes were OP in the original version?

I think so!

From another source:

“According to Working Title, they are more realistic this way, closer to reality as these heavy Boeings truly can't slow down that quickly with wheelbrakes.”

As mentioned by Matt by another thread about the brakes

Yes, we are aware of this issue and will be including that in a later update.
