FT EHAM on fresh install

Featured Replies

Hi,

I just made a full reinstallation of Win 11 ad P3D v 5.4.

I did not fully reinstall ORBX, but just made a synchroinsation of the sim, as all my ORBX is outside P3D

I reinstalled my sceneries, including FT EHAM, disabled the dummy bgl. EHAM scenery is above ORBX in the addon declaration.

Now I have the altitude problem and  tried many things all this afternoon, without success. I have looked the FT and ORBX forum, tried the solutions without success.

Any Idea to help me?

Thank's

Yves from ELLX

Do Fresh install of the scenery, it will overwrite its files or add the missing files.  I just wish FT did external install fully.  This is WHY I bugged all these darn developers to follow external installation but no they were just being lazy for not doing so,  After installation use Orbx App to sync and set the layering through that app.

That should do the trick. Remove the file mod before clean installing FT EHAM.

I assume that you use ORBx TrueEarth Netherlands? I use FlyTampa EHAM Amsterdam Schiphol in P3Dv4.5HF2, and I have two additional files in the FlyTampa/Amsterdam LC/Scenery folder....

  • 000_orbx_TE-NLD_with_FT-EHAM_exclude_extrusion_bridges.BGL
  • cvx_orbx_TE-NLD_with_FT-EHAM_flatten.BGL

I could provide these for you if you send me a PM. Bear in mind here that I do not know for certain if the same files can be used in P3Dv5.

I would also disable the ORBx EHAM files in TrueEarth Netherlands....

  • ADE_FTX_NLD_EHAM.BGL
  • ADE_FTX_NLD_EHAM_CVX.BGL
  • ADE_FTX_EHAM_objects.BGL

Thank's, but

To Christopher, in V2.x, there is no more LC directory, and the files you mentionned do not exist anymore. I have disactivated the files in ORBX

To Deltaguy, I tried, it's worse.

I think I'll wait for V6... At this time, flynig EDDF to KIAD.

Have a good day
