CYUL Montreal: FSimStudios

What quality criteria determine the level of the airport in your opinion?

I'm always happy to add another quality Canadian airport to my scenery list. Looking forward to this one.

Hey Guys.  Per their discord.  FSimStudios will be doing this one.  They say release by August.  Guess FlyTampa has some competition!

Considering that their EHAM has been coming "soon" for an age and a half, I'm not sure how much competition FlyTampa is at the moment.

Perhaps they'll delay it again to rush out an outdated Montreal now that another developer has announced it, as they did with Toronto. 🤔

They made comments some months back that Montreal was not a short term release as it was a total redo and their developer was based in Ukraine. So obvious delays

5800X3D, 4090FE, 64GB DDR4 3600C16, Gigabyte X570S MB, EVO 970 M.2's, Alienware 3821DW  and 2  22" monitors, Corsair RM1000x PSU,  360MM MSI MEG, MFG Crosswind, T16000M Stick, Boeing TCA Yoke/Throttle, Skalarki MCDU and FCU, Logitech Radio Panel/Switch Panel, Spad.Next

It seems MK Studios is also working on Montreal! So two and possibly three versions of this airport, if Fly Tampa ever decide to return to it. I am just happy other developers are stepping in and taking on these airports.

I can't recall a time in flight simulation when we had so much choice and when so many airports are being done. Many of the longstanding "holes
in P3D -- Detroit, Philadelphia, Ontario are present in MSFS. There are really only a handful more I would ever purchase in North America. So I wonder what these developers will turn attention to once all the principal airports are done.

MSFS 2024. Primary Planes: Black Square TBM850, Duke, Baron, Caravan; A2A Comanche; FSReborn Phenom; Fexix A321; PMDG 737-7, 777: Utilities: Active Sky (Passive Mode); BATC, FSLTL.

I actually thought SunSkyJet DTW was pretty good.  It required a mod if I recall correctly.  Somebody had a zip file that corrected multiple issues with the SSJ version.  When applied it was actually very nice.  Not as nice as the inibuilds one though for msfs

It was not too bad, but I think I had to make a donation and then download a zip and then use the mod and even this did not come out for years. There just was not a lot of development happening for P3D, it had dwindled down to a few developers; MSFS is quite a contrast, not it is hard to keep up with how much is being produced.

Any news yet of this release? OP suggested the devs were saying August on Discord.
