Ok, so...

I did buy the Nemeth S300, installed it today, played for a while.

What do I think:

.) It's probably my preferred right now among the total 5 I own - Cabri and 407 default MFS 2020, Bell 47 G and 206 oth FlyInside, now this Nemeth S300;

.) Wasn't able to properly perform an autorotation and I believe I followed the correct procedure ... Always crash, and get what I would call innacurate response to collective inputs and pitch;

.) Wasn't able to enter VRS;

.) Wasn't able to notice any sign of LTE, even in a strong wind;

It's the best among the 5, but I can't consider it a good helicopter flight model.

 Can I ask what you're using for controllers?

We are all connected..... To each other, biologically...... To the Earth, chemically...... To the rest of the Universe atomically.

I have one of those as well (with the throttle)

I hardly ever use it though because it requires too much desktop real estate. For helis and hardcore simmers, might need the foot pedals, too.....

Yes, specially in this S300 a nice set of rudder pedals is a MUST !

I'm satisfied with these Saitek Combat Pro Rudders, which I bought around 2013 and are still alive and kicking 🙂

Wasn't able to enter VRS;

Something I’ve read but can’t confirm myself is that VRS is overdone in DCS and is quite hard to get in real life.

I’d be interested to hear more about this though.

Sergio further adds in the comments on his comparison article:

"Yes, when I put everything on a scale, it definitely tips towards MSFS. That’s not to say other sims are not good, of course, and some of them do some things better than MSFS. But, in general, and it also depends on the helicopter you use – and even if you are plagued with some of the weird issues we see now and then or not – MSFS is a valid platform for helicopters and it’s currently my go-to sim."
...
"If anything, my passion for the hobby and the community has grown over time, especially since I am much more in touch with people all over the world, including developers and manufacturers. I am living the simming dream!"

With this good starting point in 2020 will be interesting to see how MSFS 2024 improves various aspects around heli simulation, especially since they're an integral part of the real-world missions being added to the sim. Sergio also gives direct feedback to Jorg & Seb which is always a good thing (per his previous reports and also recent insightful interview re: 2024/helis/etc: https://www.helisimmer.com/interview/msfs-2024-helicopters-future-msfs-2020 ). Like he says and I always keep telling myself, what a time for simming.
