6500 points for GPU - bar is not set very high i would say

Graphics Card: Minimum 5000, Recommended 6500 Passmark GPU Mark Score

I’m struggling at major airports because I like a lot of AIG Ai. Plus the current PC will become my second PC so many more years of use out of it. The 8 year-old Windows 7 home built PC will go to charity.

GPU minimum is 11GB, correct?

Minimum is 8, recommended is 11 - 12Gb, but i would not bother this much, with reasonable settings u can run things smoothly even u are far away from recommended value.

Usually addon makers give higher numbers to be on safe side.

Too many variables to get one number and answer this question

Thanks for the reply.

I went to FSL’s site and checked about GPU:

P3Dv5 Graphics Card Memory: Minimum 8GB (1080p monitors) 11GB (4k monitors) Recommended 12GB

I know.... but for a "normal" user with scenery, AI Traffic, etc...

I’m struggling at Heathrow with 130+ AIG Ai aircraft showing in 4K with my current system. And that’s with EA off too. It’s patently obvious to me that it can’t hack it any longer at big airports.

By waiting five years to upgrade the new system will cope with ease. I don’t need 50+ fps. By locking at 30 I can increase the sliders to the point where they impact on 30 and then dial back a little.

I've purchased Concorde even though it won't be installed until the new PC arrives. The $20 discount for early purchasers was very welcome.

Why don't you install Concorde on your current PC to give it a try?  It takes only a few minutes, and doing so will allow you to assess the performance of new bird and get you prepared for the operation on the more powerful computer later on. After all, you can reinstall the software at any time.

We have been exhaustively waiting for the new Concorde for six years, and now you keep waiting even longer... 😄

First results with the new Concorde on LFPG with AIG Traffic are awful. Was getting 15fps and had to severely limit traffic to achieve 25. 😕

When you’ve waited years what’s a few weeks?

I've just given this an install and initial run, and it looks beautiful, but indeed I fear my system may not be up to the task of running it. Already had my first OOM error in the external view, so it looks like I'll probably need to trim my settings to have any chance of flying this thing reliably.

The Documentation looks quite extensive so I will definitely be giving it all a read.

Have you reported this on FSL forum? Anyone else having this problem?

Not yet. I am currently running P3D on the highest possible settings, so I will try to optimize a bit first during the weekend. Pretty sure the sub-optimal performance is a platform problem and not an issue with the plane, though.

A question for hardcore P3D users: I'd like to use Concorde's 2D HP Palmtop and the INS panels on a touch monitor that I have. Anyone know if this is possible? Currently my touch inputs are not being registered.
