October 6, 20232 yr Is there a good reference on how to use the VNAV feature in the TDS GT 750? I have tried a couple of scenarios but I am obviously doing something wrong. Looked in the GTN manual but cannot find anything. Chris Chiozza

Mostly the same, you just initiate descent at TOD which the 750 will display and set your VDS to the recommended Descent speed. Easy-Peasy truthfully, -B
October 6, 20232 yr Author Ok Thanks, thats what I needed. I need to do another flight I guess I missed the TOD? Chris Chiozza

Easy-Peasy truthfully, -B Importing a flighplan from Simbrief means that the 750 shows TOC and TOD automatically, like the TBM 930? Just to know before buy. Missing the PMDG DC6 in MSFS 2024 (she's here, but...).
October 6, 20232 yr Yes. If you import or enter a FP into the TDS that has a valid approach the GARMIN will compute an appropriate TOD and display it on your course/magenta line. -B
October 6, 20232 yr I usually enter all flight plans manually. In the TDS, or even the PMS, you can go to the flight plan page and pick a waypoint, or even the airport itself and put a altitude in there. Then VCALC will give you a descent rate required to make the constraint. If you change one of the data fields on the map page you can put the VSR in there and see the rate on the actual map. - Chris Gigabyte Z790 Aorus Elite AX | Intel Core i9 13900KF | Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4090 24 GB | 64GB DDR5 SDRAM | Corsair H100i Elite 240mm Liquid Cooling | 1TB & 2TB Samsung Gen 4 SSD | 1000 Watt Gold PSU | Windows 11 Pro | Thrustmaster Boeing Yoke | Thrustmaster TCA Captain X Airbus | Asus ROG 38" 4k IPS Monitor (PG38UQ) Asus Maximus VII Hero motherboard | Intel i7 4790k CPU | MSI GTX 970 4 GB video card | Corsair DDR3 2133 32GB SDRAM | Corsair H50 water cooler | Samsung 850 EVO 250GB SSD (2) | EVGA 1000 watt PSU - Retired
October 7, 20232 yr Additionally, you can select an altitude on the altitude preselector. A blue arc will appear on the GTNxi screen. This shows you where you will hit the altitude. | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
October 7, 20232 yr Author I imported a flight plan and all went well except I did not get a tod on the 750. I am not sure what I am doing wrong. Any ideas? Chris Chiozza

Have you entered a target altitude, waypoint and VS in the VNAV function in the 750? -Henrik Ryzen 7 7800X3D - RTX 5090 - 64gb DDR5 - Moza AB9 with MH16 Flightstick, MTQ Throttle, Thrustmaster Pendular rudder.

Or have you loaded an approach? Adding an IAP will generate a TOD because it has altitude constraints. October 8, 20232 yr Author Well I believe I had done the target alt and entered an approach for sure. I will verify. Thanks Chris Chiozza
