  1. Fenix A320, Black Square Starship and Black Square Bonanza would be my picks. They are incredibly well made and I enjoy flying them a lot! I don't have any helis or bush planes yet, but perhaps I should start looking into those as well?
  2. I ran a 49" 32:9 5120x1440 superwide for a while, which is touching 4k resolution in amount of pixels. It did not work too well with RX 9070 XT and 7800 X3D with anything close to high settings. Switching it out for a 40" 3440x1440 21:9 ultrawide was better, and that aspect ratio and size works better for MSFS anyway I think. You'd get by alright with 16gb then, depending a bit on the CPU. If you want stuff at ultra and high LOD's you unfortunately have to start thinking about a 5090. I don't regret getting mine, and flight simming has never looked this good, but it is VERY expensive.
  3. I will buy this day one - IF they have proper display pop-outs with touch screen support.
  4. I remember being on a Ryanair flight in 2004 with the 737-200, they actually didn´t retire them until 2005, which is weird to think about today. A good one for MSFS 2024 would be great!
  5. Perhaps the nvidia app has started to "optimize" your MSFS2024 settings automatically again? I would double check that first at least.
  6. Dark look is great, but titles only for topics should be implemented 100%. It is FAR too busy right now!
  7. Yes, they certainly do. Most people (including me) are probably ultimately CPU limited in MSFS 2024, which means your GPU won't be running at full speed all the time. If SU5 has improved efficiency you would probably see a bit more GPU utilization, which results in higher temperatures. I have noticed this myself, the CPU is absolutely more effective in SU5 but it is still the bottleneck in my system too. Your GPU will throttle down before this really becomes a problem, and GPU temperatures close to the max of an older card like the 3070 isn't that strange. The thermal paste may be degraded, and/or the fans are tired from years of use. But it will throttle down and won't be damaged if you approach the max temps.
  8. Your radar altitude is shown on the virtual horizon, across the -20 degrees markers, as green 520 text. The RA button is to choose your decision height based on radar altitude, and adjusts which altitude you want it set at, it does not turn on or off the radar altimeter itself.
  9. I was fortunate enough that I discovered this "feature" by chance when looking around youtube after reviews of the airplane, so I managed to stay clear of it. It's a very stupid move by them, to be honest - and sounds very weird that they state performance reasons when this is possible on every other plane I can think of - including several of their other planes! It's a complete dealbreaker for me.
  10. What if you want to fly in/out of an airport that hasn´t got a good default representation? I strongly disagree that add-on airports are a waste of money. I have many of them and I fly to them a lot, not just once or twice.
  11. To be perfectly honest, I did all the changes at once and it worked for me, so I haven't tested incremental settings that well really. But I suspect the problem is mainly some sort of FPS limiter and/or VSYNC.
  12. I had this problem but solved it by turning off any frame rate limitations and optimizations for MSFS 2024 in the AMD settings (I have a RX 9070 XT card), turning off auto FPS in the ingame settings and using the monitor out connections on my motherboard, so the built in GPU on the CPU does the output. Smooth as silk now, even in the Fenix with all 4 main displays popped out.
  13. I absolutely prefer a cockpit and exterior with some realistic wear. If it is possible, a slider in the EFB that can change the amount of wear would be ideal. Having seen the presentation from FSWeekend as well as a couple of interviews with the developer lead Ellie, I am pretty positive and hopeful with this 787. They are clearly very invested in and enthusiastic about the project, and I hope it will turn out to be an awesome labour of love. If it is anything close to the pretty high expectations set by the presentation when it is released, it will be a day 1 purchase for me. 😀
  14. Bah, I got the A350 five days ago! 🤣
  15. I am pretty happy with it after a few flights, and I will be 100% satisfied when (hopefully) they fix the night lighting in the cockpit and add support for winctrl MCDU. It's a great plane with lots of challenges!
