October 9, 20232 yr Any way to extend the LOD of cars on the roads? Any mod or? It looks ridiculous when they just pop up below your plane... This is one thing I hope they change for 2024...!
October 9, 20232 yr I'm sure fs2004 will have the performance headroom for it on the basis that it is being recoded for multicore operation but I too get annoyed by cars seeming to appear and disappear very quickly and having a mind of their own. Seems to work ok in the competitors version without any cpu hit…. I hope they can use the same kinda system. Looks great at night!
October 9, 20232 yr I'd be satisfied to see ai a/c wheels rather than apparently floating aircraft in close distance on airports. - Harry 9800x3D (Strix x870e-E) - 64GB RAM (DDR5 6000, CL 30) - RTX 5090, 34'' 1440p OLED HDR - Windows 11 Pro (1TB M.2) - MSFS 2024 (MS Store, 4TB M.2).
October 30, 20232 yr Has something good (optimisation) been done to the road traffic over the past few SU's? I originally thought these were fps hogs and turned it down to 5 however in recent testing I cannot see any fps difference now between 5 and 100 in most areas around the world. October 30, 20232 yr As you can see, from my specs, I have things cranked up. The road traffic usually looks pretty good, but you do have to be fairly close. Maybe 10 nm? At certain altitudes they do look good and the headlights at night add some immersion. Things up close are awful and ridiculous. It seems to depend on the roads too. I passed a large road yesterday without any traffic on it. Very odd. - Chris Gigabyte Z790 Aorus Elite AX | Intel Core i9 13900KF | Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4090 24 GB | 64GB DDR5 SDRAM | Corsair H100i Elite 240mm Liquid Cooling | 1TB & 2TB Samsung Gen 4 SSD | 1000 Watt Gold PSU | Windows 11 Pro | Thrustmaster Boeing Yoke | Thrustmaster TCA Captain X Airbus | Asus ROG 38" 4k IPS Monitor (PG38UQ) Asus Maximus VII Hero motherboard | Intel i7 4790k CPU | MSI GTX 970 4 GB video card | Corsair DDR3 2133 32GB SDRAM | Corsair H50 water cooler | Samsung 850 EVO 250GB SSD (2) | EVGA 1000 watt PSU - Retired
October 30, 20232 yr Agree, behaviour-wise it's all over the place but I can let that go as it's an immersion thing for me and I'm not trying to be a news chopper. I only really pick it up as I come in to land. Maybe it's my new 4090 but 100 % traffic setting is really not giving any fps away which surprises me. Originally traffic was the first thing they told you to turn off.
