October 12, 20232 yr Hi people, STEAM warning people that from 01 January, no more running on Win 7 and 8! Im ask if have a way to keep my FSX-SE running without steam client, because im still on Windows 7 and can´t update for a time this machine due other works.
October 13, 20232 yr That's very annoying! Was going to switch to Steam a few years ago but my FSX boxed version was running smoothly and switching would have been tedious as I have a huge number of addons so I decided to stick with it until circumstances forced me to switch to a more modern platform. Glad I made that decision now as I'm still on Win 7 too! Bill
November 16, 20232 yr Don't open Steam, just run the executable. Same as if you were playing offline.
November 17, 20232 yr The FSX executable triggers Steam open. Try setting Steam in offline mode. I did that during my FSX days, with no issues.
