Classic Pacific Northwest

It's a murky day here in the PNW of the USA.  But it's a perfect day for an IFR flight from Bowerman to Orcas Island in the TBM 850.  Cruise is 17,000 ft and routing is:  KHQM ULESS T263 ARRIE ORCUS (RNAV 34) KORS

By the time we reach FL170, we're nearly at TOD, so please enjoy the photos from my trip.  Absolutely lovely HQM freeware from @vbazillio and KORS scenery by Orbx.  My favorite colored livery by @Tim-HH!  Everyone knows the Black Square TBM by now, and mine is equipped with TDS GTN 750Xi and GNS 530W.

With this overcast it's still VFR but we'll pop into the bases right after gear retraction

RY 6/24 is indeed long enough for smaller jets - with traditional and RNAV approaches it's a great airport to fly into with any weather

The two cooling towers of former Sastop Nuclear Power Plant.  (For some reason these seem active haha) - the plant was essentially closed and abandoned in 1982.  As I understand, the plant was never in operation.

Still maintaining a nice 1500fpm rate of climb up to 17,000 - Olympic mountains are dead ahead - the summit of Mt Olympus lies at 7980 ft.

Everyone should know this airport!  Typical PNW weather but a bustling marine and harbor still...

Despite the weather conditions, a lovely series of (PNW) images, Ryan...

Your TDS GTN 750Xi looks like top-of-the-line avionics in the SIM...🙂 ...Reminds me of the RXP GTN..,

Also, glad, you (already) tried out the new Bowerman airport scenery.... liked your last 2 pictures of it...

Thanks for sharing.

very nice series!

All my FSX/P3D repaints are here on Avsim, for my MSFS repaints, go to FS.2

A nice series, and a true flashback of the time when Orbx opened up the world of good sceneries for me.

Cheers, Gerold

Yep the TDS is similar to the RXP...a little more modern with the Xi - an excellent product

I agree.  I wish they'd do more actually.  I recently picked up Harvey and W16 and they do create that original small GA field feeling.  We do have so many nice freewares for the PNW I can understand why they haven't really kept up with their payware development though.
