Dublin MKStudios/Aerosoft

Recommended Posts

What happened to MKStudios Dublin? It's no longer available to buy, although ORBX even has a black friday price on it. Did they announce something apart from, we have now the new version for the other sim?

Does somebody use the Aerosoft Dublin in P3D5? How is it?

Are there other, not very known alternatives for Dublin?

On their website it says "Discontinued".  Strange to take a completed product off the market while there's still some demand for it.

No idea why...maybe the r/w airport is getting a runway extension or major changes to the terminals and they don't intend to keep it current (??)

The airport did get a new runway, which they added to their msfs version but not their p3d version.

AFAIK there is no EIDW scenery that is current for P3D.

Which I think is a pity.

So not only is MK Studios not making any new P3D scenery, but they are not selling the current offerings they have?

I guess not.  Doesn’t make sense to me

You would think he would want to continue selling P3D scenery and make money off of them.

If you sell it, you have to support it. That pulls time away from money making sceneries I suspect. Hence the Milviz/Aeroplane Heaven/insert others here giveaways.

I thought, they may take it from the market for a while before giving it away for free without support. But then, all their P3D products were taken out of the market. Special, this was a pretty new scenery. Maybe that's a new marketing strategy to make people switch simulator or buying the other stuff before it's taken out of the sale. Certainly both not acceptable for me.

No problem with mine (Orbx). Runs well in P3dv5. Using basic P3d scenery.

Aerosoft or mk version? The aerosoft one has photo groundpoly in v5 that no one can get rid of. I dont beleive you can get the aerosoft version in orbx.

I just checked MK Studios web store and the P3D sceneries are still for sale via Orbx or Simmarket. .. at least the ones I tried like Donegal, La Palma, Lisbon, Porto pint to the respective sites where they can still be purchased.

The only one I found that is labelled Discontinued is Dublin apparently.

It's a bit of a shame MK Studios has left P3D behind after announcing they were going to be releasing more P3D sceneries such as Rome etc. which never came to fruition. With that, I sort of gave up on this developer.
