any fix or solution?

thanks

It's been a almost a year since I have flown this but if memory serves me correctly there are two folders one can send a flight plan and weather file. One folder can only be accessed by the sim if the file is in there before the sim is started and after that it's locked so you can put a plan or weather data file in there and start it up and the plan or weather file will work. However, if you want to import a new weather file or new plan it can't access the file with new data in there because it's locked.

The solution is to put these files in the OTHER location that the sim doesn't lock out and can access whilst running.  Unfortuantely, the location of these two places has excaped my memory.

If you ask or search the PMDG forum the answer is there I suspect.

That's assuming it's the same thing. Which it may not be.

Just do it in the EFB, problem solved.

No need to mess with flight and weather files anymore. Create your flight plan in Simbrief, fire up the sim,  start your flight. Power on the airplane and then go into the EFB and load up the Simbrief data.  In the FMC, do POS INIT, then press Route. Type in destination airport,  put it in CO ROUTE and press Request flight plan.  Select 2nd entry that says Simbrief... Press load fuel, load payload, and then load rte. You'll get kicked back to the route page to load, activate,  execute.

As I said, it's been nearly a year. I have not used the EFB yet. It wasn't out then.
