Anyone getting system freezing up since SU14?

Recommended Posts

Probably a first for this machine - flying the HJet (for what it's worth) I had noticed an odd clicking that I hadn't noticed before coming through the headphones (only in the interior view), then all of a sudden whilst panning the view the system completely froze up. Only solution was power off then back on.

Extremely rare to get a CTD for me, don't think that I have ever had a hard lockup with this machine !!

Anyone else seen issues like this?

Still have engine sounds?  That is what has happened to me more than once. Frozen sim, blaring engines. Ctrl-alt-del only solution.

Yes. You can also see my post, “C3104 Question”. Apparently it’s not aircraft specific then. Although my last five flights have been fine. Only in my case control alt delete wouldn’t work, something going on.

No sound, no response to keyboard / mouse - power off only option for me !!

Never had this, but in the Honda Jet after I updated SU14 it did this bobbling thing and couldn't capture VNAV.  I had to VS and eventually it captured.  First time I've seen that.  No freezes in the sim with SU14 though.

Something similar happened to me yesterday. Not a lock-up but a CTD. I was sitting in a Flyinside B206 when everything froze for some 10 seconds, then CTD. First time something like that happened. Except for the A310 which I cannot load at all, instant CTD.

Happened again today! For what it is worth, submitted bug report to Zen desk.

Ditto. First time in maybe five days for me.  Seems to be Microsoft related in someway, as in they are at least part of the puzzle

I had my first freeze after years (the last one at the time of "next pilot view bug") yesterday. Very disappointing, fortunately I didn't have to hard reset as you did, and I was able to terminate MSFS from the task manager.

This, along with the other SU14 regressions I already mentioned in the official forum, makes me not very happy with this update.

yes! Was in cruise w Fenix and system hang no response , no error msg. Had to turn off system and reboot. That hasnt happened in MSFS to me , ever.  I thought it was from some of the graphics settings I was playing w in windows and nvidia. This happened after numerous CTDs which were for me very rare in MSFS in the 3 yrs its been out. Is MSFS bricking 2020 so we all move to 2024??? well I cant rule that out.

Same here. Twice during my last flight, it hung for 2-3 minutes each time. And then things went back to normal and I was able to continue the flight. I'd never seen these hangs in any previous flight. The only change to my system was that this was my first flight with FSLTL. I had been using AIG for AI before this.

It's not that, I was flying with default traffic.

I also seem to be getting a box pop up with a DoneIO error, never seen that before. Overall SU14 gets a big 👎 from me.
