December 18, 20232 yr I love flying around the Seattle area and already own the other DD airports and Seattle, so I was elated to find that they’d released KBFI and bought it immediately. Did a quick flight from KTIW to KBFI in the DC-6, landing from the south, and no stutters at all approaching the airport or on final, certainly no worse than default. Very nice...brought back happy memories of visiting there and the museum on vacation. Only issue so far is a bunch of trees right on the actual runway when not using photogrammetry (and I don’t). It looks like it’s been reported in their forums so hopefully a fix soon. This along with the other DD Seattle airports plus Orbx’s Harvey will do nothing to get me out of my Seattle area flying rut!

If I recall on his IG he said they will see how many folks purchase the Seattle area airports and he will decide if he wants to make KSEA. I hope they do make KSEA we are in need of a good one. December 19, 20232 yr Do you know how it compares to the freeware version. Also love flying from BC to Seattle or the Seattle itself. Will look into the other airports. Is the Seattle area hard on the frame rate or standard. Ron Ron MSFS 2024 -Too many airplanes to name. Too many airports to name.

Ron With all the detail this version has the performance is almost at default levels compared to the freeware version. Don't know how they managed it, but they did. The PNW area in general has had performance issues in the dense city areas going back a few updates now. Looks like SU14 improved that a bit but an airport like this certainly helps the situation in a positive way.🍺 FS2020 Alienware Aurora R11 10th Gen Intel Core i7 10700F - Windows 11 Home 32GB Ram NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super OC 16GB - Pimax Crystal Light VR
December 20, 20232 yr Hm, I'm not having the trees issue, thank goodness BUT, there are no static airplanes...I've tried reinstalling 4 times, to no avail. Bought it through simmarket (normally i get their stuff through Orbx) since there's a discount. It downloads the installer, no serial required (which i thought was kinda weird), and in the options you can select whether you want static models, parked cars, or 3d people. I decided to tick static models (to be disabled) on the first go out of habit from other airports. After getting it installed, there were no static models, as expected....LOL, but then realized what the point of this airport was in the first place....the static models. So, tried reinstalling with everything unticked. I see 3d mechanics fixing the "air," parked cars everywhere, but no planes. Not sure if anyone else is experiencing this as well. It looks like a fun airport...(but with KSEA from BMW, KRNT, and downtown, performance DOES suffer quite a bit). I choose everything at the first go and see all the parked aircraft with no issue. Performance is great on my end but as stated I don't have any other high-end scenery add-ons for the city area except one and that's the downtown buildings by Drzewiecki. I have the freeware version KRNT as I have no reason to fly into that airport but it's nice to see a little better than default from the air when on approach to KBFI. I fly GA and Corporate (the Longitude) exclusively do to AI traffic still being hosed in the default sim 😐 (we should have Asobo's custom AI models by now to what the real world traffic is calling for not A330's landing everywhere when the actual real world jet landing is a CJ4, for example. Asobo promised this would be fixed by now after getting permission from various manufactures but the solution still hasn't happened. The add-on AI Traffic options offered as third party add-ons is old school in design so maybe 2024 we'll see this addressed in the default sim). With no other major add-on offerings this scenery is a good performer when compared to the freeware offering for KBFI that's out there. I was pleasantly surprised considering all that's packed into this scenery.🍺 Edited December 20, 20232 yr by Dillon FS2020 Alienware Aurora R11 10th Gen Intel Core i7 10700F - Windows 11 Home 32GB Ram NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super OC 16GB - Pimax Crystal Light VR
December 20, 20232 yr Does anyone have this paired with BMWorld's KSEA? I'm curious if loading both DD KBFI and BMW KSEA will cause the SimObject limit to go over the limit, leading to landing at an empty SeaTac airport
