February 4, 20242 yr First I have to say, I love this piece of software, the Learjet flies smootly and it´s big fun also regarding handflying. The only concern I have is, when climbing using IAS and flying manually, the Flight Director shows too high pitch, if I would follow it, I´d lose speed, which I shouldn´t. That way I have to fly "below the Flight Director". Using Autopilot I realized it´s pitching up, catching the FD, losing some speed, then pitching down to the correct position for keeping speed during climb. That´s different to the manually flown version, where the FD keeps it high pitch. Anyone else noticed it? Is it an issue of the plane or did I miss something? Regards, Herbert By the way, me and a friend are soon finishing a complete Learjet 35A Air Manager panel, see Sim Innovations Forum... February 4, 20242 yr With the autopilot off, try using the Sync FD button on the right side of the yoke to align the FD with the current aircraft pitch. Al
February 5, 20242 yr Is there a source listing assignable buttons and so on for the FSW Lear? I've looked and even looked at the P3D version documents and didn't find anything. (sorry for the hijack but this post got me thinking about the Lear) Richard Chafey i7-8700K @4.8GHz - 32Gb @3200 - ASUS ROG Maximus X Hero - EVGA RTX3090 - 3840x2160 Res - KBSim Gunfighter - Thrustmaster Warthog dual throttles - Crosswind V3 pedals MSFS 2020, DCS
February 5, 20242 yr There is a lot of info for the MSFS Lear on the Flysimware Discord server at https://discord.gg/yYpHSxHmZM Al
February 5, 20242 yr Thank you for the link. Was hoping to find a list. Like in the old days lol Can't deal with discord...I've tried. Like in the old days lol Here's some control assignments FSW set up using available (unused) MSFS default control bindings. MANUV BUTTON (RHS YOKE) — MANUV BUTTON : {bound to} : SMOKE ON (ON PRESS) MANUV BUTTON : {bound to} : SMOKE OFF (ON RELEASE) STEER LOCK BUTTON 1 (center console white STEER LOCK button replacement) — STEER LOCK BUTTON : {bound to} : TOGGLE TAIL HOOK HANDLE STEER LOCK BUTTON 2 (RED BUTTON ON LHS OF YOKE) — STEER BUTTON : {bound to} : G LIMITER ON (ON PRESS) STEER BUTTON : {bound to} : G LIMITER OFF (ON RELEASE) Make sure you get the on press and on release correct. MSFS also doesn't set 'on release' on first attempt to set it so set this bit up twice Stock commands used for the sync pitch button. Edited February 5, 20242 yr by ark

Al Thanks, but the FD Sync button disengages the IAS Mode. Regulary the IAS Mode is as the FLC or SPEED Mode and should control the pitch to maintain the speed. When descending the FD in IAS Mode works fine, when climbing it don´t work properly when flying manually. Regards, Herbert Herbert PuukkaX-Plane 12 - King Air C90, PA-46, Air Manager

February 5, 20242 yr Author As stated, when flying manually, you select the autopilot modes as usually without engaging it, that way you are on track when keeping the FD centered. Selecting IAS during climb means you can keep a specific thrust and the FD shows you the pitch to maintain the speed. Not here, the FD shows too high pitch and the speed decreases. I'm asking that because the different GPS versions of the Lear use a different autopilot code For example, with the GNS530 panel, the autopilot developed by WT is used. It would be helpful to know if you see the same FD problem as above using the GNS530 version of the Lear even though the AP is off. Al Edited February 5, 20242 yr by ark
February 5, 20242 yr Author Hi Al Thanks a lot for your help, that´s interesting, I did some test flights.....only the TDS 750 version seems to have this issue! I´ve only flown this version till now. GNS 530 and PMS 750 worked nicely. Regards, Herbert Edited February 5, 20242 yr by Puukka Herbert PuukkaX-Plane 12 - King Air C90, PA-46, Air Manager

February 16, 20242 yr Author Many thanks to the developer team of Flysimware, IAS Mode FD works nicely after an update which only toolk few days! Meanwhile the first download of our Air Manager Panel is available at the Sim Innovations Forum. The only two variables we were missing are one for the ASI Barber Pole, and the feedback variable of the Hydraulic Pump Switch. The HYDRAULIC PUMP Switch now sends fs2020_event("HYDRAULIC_SWITCH_TOGGLE", 3), thats fine, but I need a variable to get our switch to the right position, something as HYDRAULIC SWITCH "Bool"...or the same variable HYDRAULIC_SWITCH_TOGGLE as a bool. Thanks again and regards from Austria, Herbert Edited February 16, 20242 yr by Puukka Herbert PuukkaX-Plane 12 - King Air C90, PA-46, Air Manager
