Community,

Just getting back into MSFS 2020 after years of being away. I'm so old, I used to post on Microwings website and used subLogic as my addon scenery. Anyway, is there an addon for MSFS that acts as a co-pilot where they manage all of the radio settings? I asked FSCREW and they said no.

Thanks in advance.

Tim

Or ESC , Optons, Assistance-Options, Piloting, AI Radio Communications ATC On or OFF

with assistance on, you will hear the copilot answer the calls for you and I think tune the radio for you too

Assistance-Options, User Exp[erience, ATC voices OFF will enable you to just ignore the ATC which you will not hear

If your only concern is managed radios, then FSHUD is a good one that I use. I also use it with FSLTL. Not only will it manage the radios for you, it gives you ATC, controls AI traffic and it keeps a communication list that you can limit to your communication only. That way you can review instructions and not have to write them down as I do real world.

Pilot2ATC is really good. Your co-pilot manages a lot of coms.

Wow that's going way back.  I had some sublogic scenery disks too.  I vaguely remember Microwings but I was never really into that side of things back then.  I always thought MW was pre-internet/pre-website era.

I use Pilot2ATC which at your option can manage a lot of comms for you, as if you had a co-pilot there doing it.

Thinking just a little out of the box here...  If you're into passenger or cargo aircraft, why not try Shared Cockpit?  I have over 4500 hours of Shared Cockpit time, mostly between P3D Majestic Dash 8 Q400, the Leonardo Maddog, and TFDi B717. I was on most of the test teams for those aircraft, but I would have had the same number of hours regardless because, like 90% or better of those who try it, I got hooked on my first Shared Cockpit flight.  Flying SC on VATSIM... off the charts incredible.  I've never had as much fun in flight sim than flying SC, the cut ups, jokes, and general conversation why at cruise reminds me of my days as a submariner over seeing the control room watch standers... the funniest stuff was said during those watches!  SC is a close second to that!

Thanks to some terrific guys, Shared Cockpit is a free addon for many of the payware and high quality freeware addons available... the program is called Your Controls and it takes all of about 2 minutes to set it up and use.

If you're interested, gimme a call (PM), I'll fly with you!  (Movie quotes during SC flights are always in abundance!)
