February 8, 20242 yr I have 40+ "Not installed" addons in the content manager currently. They are all ones I either uninstalled from the MS Store or 3rd party I decided were not wanted anymore and manually removed from my Community folder. The only option in MSFS is to "install them". Is there any way to reset this list? ASUS ROG STRIX Z390-E GAMING / i9-9900k @ 4.7 all cores w/ NOCTUA NH-D15S / 2080ti / 32GB G.Skill 3200 RIPJAWS / 1TB Evo SSD / 500GB Evo SSD / 2x 3TB HDD / CORSAIR CRYSTAL 570X / IPSG 850W 80+ PLATINUM / Dual 4k Monitors
February 9, 20242 yr Good question I have occasionally wondered the same thing. I strongly suspect the answer is no! 😭 Intel Core i9-10900K at 5.2GHz, Corsair H115i PRO, ASUS MAXIMUS XII HERO Z490, G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 32GB (4 x 8GB) 15-16-16-36, ASUS TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 3090, SAMSUNG 970 EVO PLUS M.2 2280 1TB x 3, Corsair HX Series HX1000 Watt PSU, Pimax Crystal LIght.
February 9, 20242 yr Whilst in principal it sounds a good idea I suspect that they are there in case you wish to re install them..... Especially the ones you have paid for....it's no different to a store account...I have many in a store list I will never use again.
February 9, 20242 yr Commercial Member I guess you can't, because the "Not installed" products from the Marketplace, are those that Microsoft knows you bought it, because they are associated with your Microsoft account. Umberto Colapicchioni http://www.fsdreamteam.com FSDT on Facebook
February 9, 20242 yr Actually, this is one I have wondered about as well b/c I have a few like AIG and Cartanya Files that were manually installed and ARE active but show as not installed in Content Manager. Have a Wonderful Day -Paul Solk

As a basic rule, if the third-party product is in the Community folder, it will appear in the in-game Content Manager and it does not matter whether it is reported as installed or not installed because, if it is not there in the Community folder, it does not appear in the Content Manager at all. If the item does not conform to the Microsoft format, then it is reported as there in the Community folder, but not installed. If it does, then it is reported as there in the Community folder and installed. The solution is not to use the Microsoft in-game Content Manager to check up on your third-party addons. Instead, use something like the excellent Addon Linker, or even Windows File Explorer and your eyes. Edited February 9, 20242 yr by Reader

Yep, I just use explorer "and my eyes" although I am pretty certain you need your eyes for add-on linker as well 😉 I'm just OCD so seeing something that "looks" like it needs to be addressed in some manner drives me nuts LOL ... OK, total honesty, I'm already nuts but this contributes LMAO Have a Wonderful Day -Paul Solk
