Save your activation key file and <Voices> folder if you downloaded the additional voice packs.

Un-install via Windows Control Panel.

Do not delete anything manually.

Re-download full package here.

install to default path and put key back in C:\Program Files (x86)\Multi Crew Experience\ folder.

Up to you if you want to overwrite the <Voices> folder, or re-download each voice pack and install.

Use the patch to make sure all files are up to date.

It takes about 2 GB disk space, even when all human recorded audio packs have been installed. Base install is about 1.0 GB

Once up and running, you may delete the other installation folder.

I completed the reinstall process, and re-applied the patch as instructed, unfortunately I am still not able to get the GSX pushback to start. I tried to follow the steps Burge was describing too in the recent post, but it still is trying to use the built in pushback.

Below is my latest log file:

Looks OK.

It's not Lvar related.

Please tell me which airport and gate you were at.

With engines down, did you at least get the ramp agent to introduce him/herself once the battery is on?

Thanks

Ground from cockpit

Cockpit from ground

Are you ready for  pushback  or push and start

Mec will chime in then GSX takes over

Sorry for the delayed response, been away from the sim for a little bit. I have tried multiple airports gates and ramp parking, same results, I am testing currently at KATL Gate D24.

I can get the ramp agent to respond from MCE if I give a command from the "to establish contact" list, such as saying "Ground from flight deck". Then I try to trigger the pushback by saying "Ground mechanic start pushback".

Thanks again for your help.

Try this my good man, this is some of my script for push & Start, my FO does most of the talking

pause=3
Notify=Ground mechanic from flight deck
Pause=2
Ground mechanic from flight deck
Pause=2
Notify=ground remove chocks
Pause=2
ground remove chocks
Pause=10
Notify=ground mechanic are you ready for pushback
Pause=5
ground mechanic ready for pushback
Pause=5
Notify=ground begin pushback
Pause=5
ground mechanic begin pushback

GSX should pop up then you will start your pushback with GSX

cheers Barry

The ramp agent is separate from Mechanic.

He's expected to pop-in when engines are off and battery is on. You can hear ramp agent "Jane" in this vid. There are different agents depending on where you depart from. Their job is to coordinate with GSX. You can ask "Jane we need catering" and she will take care of the rest.

In MCE user interface, go to <Sim> tab and check the green text is saying "on ground engines off". If it's not the case, it would explain why he's not introducing him/herself.

galley power on off switch not reponding

navigation lights to steady ok but will not switch up to navigation lights to strobe and steady before takeoff

No, I am not hearing anything like in the video you linked. I can see the green text in the Sim tab though.

Also, tested again using the steps Burge mentioned too, but I am getting the same results of the "default" pushback, no GSX.

Thanks for feedback.

Have been monitoring this thread. Thanks for reporting those two switches.

This is an example of what happens when a plane is updated.

They were working fine for ages.

In most recent PMDG update, it appears the SDK no longer provides access to AircraftModel variable, required to distinguish which variant has IFE + Galley or just galley.

We had to find another way to work this out.

Should now behave as before with the new patch.

Thank you Guys Both switchers are now working on 737-700

Okay updated to 3.0.7.8. Still not having luck with GSX pushbacks via MCE.

when you start mce, does gsx start up after you should get gsx menu then disappear.remember both engines off.  with this below your ramp agent should kick in then wait gsx pops up with wing walker hello captain.

Notify=ground mechanic from flight deck
Pause=5
Notify=ground mechanic are you ready for pushback
Pause=10
ground mechanic begin pushback

let me know what is in your scripe. its working fine for me

cheers Burge
