Thoughts from those in the beta? I’ve read about FPS increase but haven’t noticed it myself (3090/Aero) but others say its more about consistent timing. It maaaay be smoother. Not sure yet. What do others think?

it seems to me that with more DX12 optimisation and MSFS 2024 CPU optimisation (and foveated rendering hopefully) i ought to be hopeful of getting a lot more out of this 3090,

On an ageing system (RTX3080, 12700F, Rift S) SU15 has not managed to transfer the improvement in 2D performance to VR. I still have very uneven frametimes, microstutter, in VR. Still experimenting. Disappointed.

I have not seen any changes positive or negative re performance in Vr.

I too am disappointed.

am I the only one who is thrilled with SU15 then? the smoothest VR experience I ever had (55 - 60 fps). it is not so much about increase of fps but near constant frame times.

impressed and overwhelmed.

we discussed the subject of greatly improved frame times (not to confuse with fps = frames) at length in the 2D forum, but the same applies to VR.

never seen before in MSFS such constant frame times = no more stutters:

compared to pre-SU15 beta: wild fluctuations of frame times = stutters:

very nice.

As per the thread in the main forum I'm finding VR performance in the latest beta build pretty awful, having missed the early builds I never got to see if there was any boost but from what I'm seen today it's a big step backwards - again.

A couple of weeks until it goes live, fingers firmly crossed they fix this but going on historical evidence I'm all set for disappointment.

Pico Neo3 Link VR - Windows 11 64bit, Gigabyte Z590 Aorus Elite Mobo, i7-10700KF CPU, Gigabyte RX 9070 XT OC 16gb (AMD GPU), 32gig Corsair 3600mhz RAM, SSD x2 + M.2 SSD 1tb x1

Saitek X45 HOTAS - Saitek Pro Rudder Pedals - Logitech Flight Yoke - Homemade 3 Button & 8-directional Joystick Box, SNES Controller (used as a Button Box - Additional USB Numpad (used as a Button Box)

My experience has been great so far - it seems smoother and faster. I also tested it yesterday with the latest MSFS build and the AutoFPS mod and I squeezed out a few more frames. I’d say SU15 is an upgrade for VR users too.
