Best private jets for P3Dv5?

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone!

Just wanted to see if our developers have come out with any great private jets recently? I love the Xtreme Prototypes LJ25D and the FlySimware FA50EX. I have mixed feelings about Carenado's stuff, but I always enjoy flying the Phenom 300. are there any others out there you all like that I should go and check out?

Thanks all!

I'm stuck on the XP Lear 28. Have not found a better business jet and I doubt I will.

I’ve had the XP Lear 25 for around 5 years. On my previous computer turning taxi and landing lights on killed 4K performance. Other than that I found it brilliant.

With my new computer the lights problem has gone. Jumping four generations of NVidia fixed that!

The only other private jet I’d buy is a Gulfstream. But they aren’t willing to allow developers to create one and sadly, if they did it would go to the other sim.

I have Carenado's Cessna CJ2 and really like it.

I would buy their Cessna Excel if they discounted it 50%.

I have two business jets: a 525A Citation CJ2 from Carenado and a Pilatus PC-24 from IRIS Simulation. Both suit me well, but I rarely use them. I prefer the turboprop King Air B350I, because it also belongs to business aviation.

Thank you for the attention. Sergey Labukh

Yes, indeed a great plane, especially the Blackbird / MilViz freebee release.

And when it comes to the Carenado and MilViz versions, they are nothing alike.

I also don't mind the Carenado PC12 with the community mod pack.

And the Carenado Phenoms are not too bad (being aware they are Carenado of course).

FSW Lear is another very good one.

Cheers

There's the free Milviz Piaggio P-180, which is a fast turboprop with performance at-par with a VLJ and the same well-done (and complex) Collins Proline 21 avionics suite as in their B350i King Air.

Flight1 has a Cessna 510 Mustang port-over that has a patch to make it compatible with P3Dv5.

My personal go-to in P3Dv5 is the PMDG BBJ...its wingspan is only 14 ft wider than a Gulfstream 700/800, and with the extended range tanks it has 6500nm legs.  When flying it on short legs with a typical light bizjet payload it's quite the rocket.

Ooh lots of nice suggestions here, @bob would you buy the Mustang again? I see it's on special currently and have always fancied it

Downside with the Mustang for me was it's extremely heavy on the frame rate.

If you want modern then the BBJ is your best bet, other than that the FSW two are great.

Other than the Citation II, I found every other Carenado bizjet I purchased to be garbage.

The S550 was the best out-of-the-box plane/jet Carenado ever released.  Everything just worked.  I still enjoy flying it, even if it is a bit slow in cruise.

There is also the NextGen Citation.

It's not as pretty as a Carenado, but you cannot beat the price!

Thanks Gazzareth. I have the FSW Falcon 50 which is great, most likely stick with that for awhile.
