After landing at Chicago Midway 23L w/ FSLTL+FSHud, I think I waited a good 10 mins before being cleared to cross rwys 31C/31R. The airport was crazy busy!

I can appreciate the higher radius of terrain detail w/ TLOD 600.

Yes, as I say I don't like crowded airports in sim or RW 🙁

I know for sure a new CPU will be the last step for a little insurance for what may come and even now.  But as you know we're going to get more out of the CPU with SU15 and MSFS 2024 and the statements about the latter were sounding a bit hyperbolic!   I mean MAJOR improvements to come!!

I still have kind of strobing looking down at the tarmac when lighting is a certain way and it's bad enough to try to avoid looking at it when it happens.  Bloom off didn't really improve it much if any.  Look the other direction and it's totally stable so it's very specific for certain kinds of pixel colors or contrast or what have you.  Seems like this may end up being resolvable with a driver revision aimed at addressing that.

  • @Noel I have been using a RTX 4090 for over a year now, and I have never ever noticed any flickering anywhere of any kind. That goes for the PMDG 737's, Fenix A320, the BKSQ TBM850 which I am flying r

I think the only thing you will gain with a faster CPU are more AI, and higher LOD if you like that, personaly i can't see any differens when i try higher settings than 200, at least where i fly.

Is it possible those with AMD 7800X3D or better AMD are the ones not seeing any artifacts as I've described above?  Right now honestly I can't tell whether some people just aren't bothered by them, or some people don't have them at all and there's no difference between FG on and FG off.

I have an AMD 7800X3D and with FG on I see some flickering ONLY in the glass displays such as the Fenix screens.

For me the flickering is more bothersome on the ground as I get lower FPS, still above 80ish. When I am in the air I get about 100 and I see the flickering almost gone when panning.

@Noel

if you guys are talking about monitor flickering (white strobe like) at the bottom or some times all around, I found that when (motion blur) in general graphic section is selected OFF I get this issue, when selecting any other choice (low, mid, high or ultra) problem is gone.

try it, it might work for you to.

That's not it I don't think...for me its JUST on the glass cockpit screens like the PFD ,ND or MCDU for example.

I think I already tried this based on someone else's opposite advice, and it's the ground flickering that's more troublesome for me, that plus the 2nd screen judder for which there is no solution.  I'll try low motion blur just to see if any difference.  What's a fact for me is as long as I can stay locked at 40fps native, though prefer 45fps and that is where it is 80% of the time, I'm happy enough as a super smooth rate of 40-45 is good enough for flat screen use for me.

Nope, same issue despite the diff motion blur settings.
