World Hub is live now?

Recommended Posts

I understand your frustration. Let's hope they are just testing the workflow with this beta program. Maybe, they'll release some more scenery model assets before oepning up the WorldHub for everyone? As it is now, there are some often needed models that are only available via third-party libraries (which will surely be forbidden).

Quite possibly, this is an idiotic question, but - do you automatically get this update or do you need to find/apply it from the Marketplace? Or is joining the BETA required? Sorry for my confusion. 🙂

I believe it will be automatically pushed to all MSFS systems in the same way that regular NavBlue nav data updates are currently done. If the overall size of WorldHub airports becomes too large, they may eventually make it an optional content manager or Marketplace update.

Agreed. If there were only FBO and Small/medium terminal it would make it so much easier to improve airports. But, alas, in World Hub it’s “no buildings allowed.”

This is all they are going to allow the community to do? There are so many problems on default airports all over the world regarding buildings and building placement and they wont let us fix it?

What a dissapointment, what a wasted opportunity, geeeezz.

Slow down. It's a Alpha/Beta. I personally enjoy its moving in the right direction. Baby step.

To participate and as I want to help, I just "Check Out" a small GA: fixing apron, fixing parking position, fuel, taxiway lines, wrong texture/apron alignement with the underlying satellite image is already a lot of work. Let's experiment.

And im very thankful for people like yourself that do this kind of work.

I might be jumping the gun with my response there, I just really hope they allow modifications of buildings and their placement in the future.

Don't overestimate that for now the World Hub can only fix a limited number of thing : removing vegetation, changing layout (apron, starting position...), fixing taxiway names.... But don't expect new buildings at the correct place 😉

This is why I pretty much only download your stuff haha

So there is an update from Jorg from the Twitch Q&A yesterday: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/2089704532?t=01h27m56s

In a nutshell, it seems like the MSFS team wants to take this slowly. They want to start with small edits first, and then gradually grow and allow larger edits, including access to the library scenery objects. This is the takeaway I get from Jorg's answer, but you can watch and listen to Jorg's answer yourself.  I guess it will take time for the World Hub to become more sophisticated. Oh well, baby steps. It's not like Jorg said no, his answer seems to imply we will get there but it will take time.
